Red Roof Inn Lansing East – MSU

Moving to Michigan from Texas has been a huge transition for our family, and the Red Roof has become much more than just a place to stay — it has genuinely felt like home. We’ve been here for a little over a month now while we look for steady work and search for a house, and the experience has been nothing but peaceful and comfortable. For anyone needing a long-term stay or just a quiet, dependable place to land, this hotel has been exactly that for us. The atmosphere here is calm and safe, something that mattered a lot to us during such a stressful time. The other guests have been kind and respectful, and we’ve never once felt out of place. Positive: Location Negative: Beds and pillows are hard and uncomfortable. Coffee was the only thing they offered and it was way to strong and cold. Big pot holes in the parking area need to be addressed soon. The big rocks they habe in front of each room is not a good idea.

The staff is amazing the rooms are very clean and the housekeeping accommodates anything that you need. They even have befriended my dogs which I love. Definitely would stay here and give it more points if I could! They are the best and most helpful!!

The room was great! Clean, comfortable, well maintained and affordable. There was still the parking lot drama one associates with cheep hotels, but the staff handled it well and got us our room without an issue. Wish it was a little closer to downtown, but hey what can you do?

My recent stay at this Red Roof Inn was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the start, the front desk women were extremely unprofessional in my experience. They were rarely at the desk when I needed help, and when they were there, they were constantly on their phones and acting like acknowledging me was a burden. What shocked me most was when I asked for clean bedding — a very simple request — and they actually yelled at me instead of helping. Being spoken to like that as a paying guest was humiliating and completely unacceptable. On top of the terrible attitude and lack of service, they also upcharged me for my room despite the listed price online being about $35 cheaper. When I brought it up, they acted like it was my problem and showed zero interest in resolving it
