Cottonwood Campground

The location is great. It's easy to get to where you need to go. It's quiet. I rated the rooms based on the showers and office. Everything was clean and operational. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. We would certainly stay there again. Plenty of space to walk the girls.

The website doesn't tell when check in time is, but the person checking us in was eager to tell us we were before the 2pm check in. The road on the north loop is in desperate need of a grating. There is lots of erosion and it caused a lot of side to side sway in our RV as we navigated it to our spot. Our spot was nice that it was on the water, but it was very uneven. Most of the spots appear to have the water and electric post shared by two spots. This causes you to have two spots face each other. This is great when you are traveling with another group, but not when you are alone and forced to share the front of your RV space with the people next to you The location is good. 2nd time I have camped there, and the staff & people were just the best. Its clean and well taken care of A19 site was the best. It is just what the good LORD wanted for me. It was quite and the little store inside the club house was the best and the hockey game in the game room is a gem! as so was the coffee. I look forward in coming back a 3 rd time. Cottonwood Campground had a lot going for it—spacious tent sites, friendly staff, hot showers (hallelujah!), and even cheap kayak and paddle boat rentals. The pool? A total win. We had power, water, and a good setup.||Now for the not-so-glampy part: our site was next to a fire station, and sirens screamed both nights like they were auditioning for a movie. One neighbor blasted country music all day (and night), and the others showed up late and treated their camper doors like percussion instruments. Not exactly the peaceful nature vibes we were hoping for.||Not the staff’s fault—but next time, I’m pitching my tent as far from the RV zone as possible. Great campground, just bring earplugs and a sense of humor.

Great little park. I was concerned about the reviews but our stay was great. Check-in was easy, the staff very nice. Bathrooms were clean and it was easy on and off freeway. We did an overnight. And we didn't not pay a surcharge for air conditioning or heat.
