Red Lion Inn & Suites Olathe Kansas City

Very nice and clean hotel. Only downside is that the rooms are small. If you're a smoker then you will be happy to know they have a wing of smoking rooms. They are pretty friendly and even serve a basic small breakfast, consists of a waffle maker, a few choices of breads, bagels, pastries, coffee, sunny D, and some fruit. Downside is only 1 washer and dryer on main floor and ice machine is broke at the moment. Staff is very nice and helpful. Check in is pain free especially when using a booking site for discounted rates. Great location.. close to State and Major highway. Also safe and quiet being across from the police station. Lots of choices for food and gas close by as well.

The folks that work here are awesome! I've stayed there multiple times and the rooms are always clean, with bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower/tub. They have a free breakfast if you like not eating meat in the morning. (I do so that part kinda sucks) But other than that? They'll bend over backwards for you to make sure your stay is enjoyable

You get what you pay for. This is more a motel vibe. Breakfast consisted of a waffle maker, plain bagel, white/wheat bread and a selection of Aldi honey buns and Aldi mini crumb cakes. No cereal or protein. Bathroom tile cracked. Upon entering room it was freezing cold as the heating unit was off. The hallway was dirty and dingy and could hear every conversation happening in each room from the hallway. Only one employee for entire hotel. Moral or the story: reread my first sentence.

TLDR Hotel cost $40 for a room myself and relatives weren't able to stay in due to permeating smells and long-term maintenance. The staff at this hotel were friendly during check-in and followup. The room seemed to have a regular wipe down. Our issues at this location were twofold: entering the non-smoking 2nd-floor area required walking through the *heavy* smoking area of the hotel, and the AC unit was not well maintained (i.e. it blew foul-smelling heavy dust that impacted our sinuses for days with <10 minutes exposure). Also, the hotel did credit the room charge back to me, but missed the $40 pet fee. My pets were never in the room. Disputing the $40 fee got resistance.

Been holding on making this review for as long as I could. I hope everyone takes the time to read this experience that I’ve had. If I could rate this place any lower I really would. To start off with the hotel room had many stains in bathroom,tubs and toilet. Would definitely not recommend staying here unless you like the odor of cigarettes in the hallways and room (even if you get the non-smoke). I had a Seven day reservation with them but after being there for a couple of minutes I knew that I had to leave. I talked to the lady in the front desk which she did help me switch rooms for the night but I could tell it was definitely a bother to her. She called her manager and they told me only six days were refundable. I had to bite the bullet on staying one night unfortunately. I checked out
