Holiday Inn Express & Suites Olathe South by IHG

Overcharged me for a room. $140 total for a king suite, which was just a normal room. Room had mice and was in bad shape. Scuffed dirty walls. Dirty sheets. Moved me to another room. Room was in better shape and had clean sheets at least but still gouges in the walls. The continental breakfast was cold and the cinnamon rolls and biscuits were dry and hard. Would not stay here again.

Hot tub is warm, jets don’t work, and towels offered in the pool area are baby size. Wi-Fi is hit or miss. Shower in the room wouldn't hold water for a bath. Needless to say on day 1 of my trip I’m not happy. Hopefully the rest of my stay is better but not a good first impression!

Run, do not walk from this location: Rooms reek of cigarette smoke. Stairwells, gym, and halls have loud, ill maintained fans and reek of mold strong enough to trigger an allergy attack in my party. Walls are thin: you hear everything in next room. Un-repaired damage in elevators … the list goes on …

We have stayed at this hotel before. We like the location of it to the job site. The areas is safe and has lots of restaurants and stores in the area to met our needs. I will address my displeasures one at a time. 1. Was not recognized as a --- level IHG member and didn't have our level card in our check-in packet like we usually do. 2. Upon check-in, we were only allowed one key card. I was informed that the key making machine wasn't working but funny they were able to program 1 card. 3. Several days the room cleaning on our floor took place into the early evening when one is trying to relax from a hard days work and not listen to vacuum cleaners running. 4. This facility has paper thin walls that transfers LOTS OF NOISE. Best not be a early or light sleeper. 5. One evening as we

My family and I were very disappointed with this hotel as a whole including customer service. I see this is a trend based off other reviews. My wife and 2 kids spent more than 18 hours traveling (over the course of 2 days.) We arrived at the Holiday Inn Olathe South. Upon entering our room the floor was dirty and there was urine on the toilet seat. My son had to use the bathroom so I wiped down the bathroom with a Clorox wipe and my wife wiped down the bedside table, drawers and the counter the TV sat on, as most services had dust on it. It was odd, almost as if someone hadn’t stayed in that room in a very long time. There was exposed pipe (which is against code) that was dripping with black filament, and scum on the bottom of the tub by the drain. We didn’t feel comfortable staying there
