Rooms don’t have a thermostat; they only have a fan. The heater does not work. However, they have portable heaters readily available if you ask. The maintenance and service are not great. The reception doesn’t pick up your phone. Your room is spacious but could be better managed. It’s okay for just a night's stay. Don’t expect more.

4 stars... would be 5 but unfortunately some things didn't work in the room, like the second shower. The heater ( they do provide small room heater ). A lamp. Dub was dirty & carpets needing a good cleaning. Service was amazing & the location is prime.

I stayed at this hotel for the second time on November 7th, '25 for a round of golf at Haggin Oaks the following morning. This hotel is in a pretty tough part of town but despite the location, I believe they are doing their best to provide a decent stay for their guests. Based on the fixtures installed and design aspects of the property, I'd place this property as likely being a higher end hotel when it first opened in the late '40's to early 50's. Fronted by one-time US 40 / 99E, Auburn Blvd, this property was probably a welcome landing place for travelers arriving from the east and from the bay area alike. The property is within reason of a limited budget, kept up pretty well considering wear that a budget minded clientele might put rooms through. This recent stay, I was in room 330. T

Pros: This place is quiet. The price is under $60. The toilet and sink is clean. The bed is comfortable. The refrigerator and microwave is spotless. I really liked the balcony and the patio sliding door.||Cons: The bath tub is very old and needs an UPGRADE and the water handle looks like from the 80s. The bathroom floor tiles are cracked and slippery. I tried to clean it with hand wipes but it did not work. All of the wall plugs are old and I can’t plug my charger in because it would fall off. So I had to cut a plastic cup to keep the charger in place.|There’s drug addicts and homeless people around this area but they do their thing and leave. |The hotel hallway is stuffy and stinks because they don’t open the windows to allow fresh air to come in.

This hotel is so nasty, I will never sleep here again. No heat in the rooms. They give you a small space heater to heat your room. It's been running for over an hour and all it did is go up one degree. It's 56° currently in here. The bed is filthy and stained, just like the carpet, couch, upholstery and everything else. The door to the bathroom will not open due to the floor buckling upward preventing it from opening. The room for has many gouge marks in it from break-ins. Most of the counters are coming loose from the wall.
