Hyatt Regency Sacramento

I stayed here for a business trip, and while the location is easily one of the best in Sacramento for accessing the State Capitol, the experience was inconsistent. The Highlights: The service at Vines Cafe was a major bright spot. Jasmine at the front kiosk was incredibly sweet, friendly, and helpful during all three of my visits. The food is excellent with great dietary options. Additionally, my checkout was seamless and professional thanks to Divina, the Front Office Manager, who was a pleasure to work with. The Lowlights: Unfortunately, check-in was impersonal and disappointing. The agent made no eye contact, didn't use my name, and tried to upcharge me $25 for a higher floor, despite my colleague receiving a preferred room earlier that day. Nice hotel in a good central location close to city hall. Only stayed one night so didn’t get the chance to check out the area. Parking was convenient. Gym was good, but required you to leave the building, not great on a cold day. Reception was slow.

Perfect location to go to Golden 1 Center for NBA Sacramento King's game. ||We were there for my husband's birthday and we went to watch King's game on the same day. The front desk specialist was very nice and welcomed us. The room was clean and quiet. We received a birthday cake from the hotel as a warm welcome! I was very surprised which added a positive satisfaction towards this trip staying with Hyatt Regency Sacramento. I will come agai next time.

Delightful stay. Out of 165 hotel nights over the past year alone, Hyatt Regency Sacramento easily ranks in my top three. The staff were friendly, accountable, and genuinely helpful from check-in through checkout—something that truly stands out when you travel as often as I do. The location is exceptional, situated directly adjacent to the State Capitol with outstanding walkability. Everything from East Downtown retail to off-site dining along the river is easily accessible on foot. Amenities were equally impressive: a great pool and hot tub, a welcoming lobby café and steakhouse, a well-equipped gym, and the highlight—cocktail and dessert service in the 12th-floor Club Lounge. I was pleasantly surprised by the service. Everyone we ran into was kind, helpful, and made us feel like we were taken care of. We also ate at both Amaranth and Vines and the staff were so great! I know they say it is hard to find good help but Hyatt Regency Sacramento must have found the secret. Would definitely stay again. (Location really close to conf center, PAC, and many restaurants in walking distance.)
