Quality Suites Lake Wright - Norfolk Airport

Positive: My room was spacious. Also it's in an area that has plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance, many of which are just across the parking lot. Breakfast was good. Negative: The description says there is a whirlpool, but after asking staff I was told that there are rooms with a whirlpool tub which I could have booked (at a higher price). The amenities need renovation, especially the gym which had broken cardio equipment.

After checking in on Friday, we noticed commercial-sized blowers in the hallway headed to the elevator. Drying out the area. Upon exiting the elevator, we notice a slight but distinct smell of dampness. We headed to our room on the second floor. Entering our room, we found it to have a great layout. We unpacked our stuff and got ready for bed. We opened the sofa bed and found that the sheets were dirty and had never been changed. Gross. We doubled up and made it work. The next morning, I approached to person at the desk to inform him of such. Said he'll take care of it. Had breakfast and headed to our wrestling tournament. Only reason I gave the one star is because it’s the only way I could leave my review. I Will never stay here again!! The air didn’t work in the room hot water didn’t work. Pool wasn’t heated front desk staff was rude the only good thing about this hotel was the location. I wouldn’t advise a homeless person to sleep there for free

I got a room for my daughter. She is an active member of the US Navy. She had spent the entire day flying around the country and ended up at the airport 13 hours before her flight. I booked a room. They refused to let her check in saying she needed to be 21! We explained the situation and asked if they could please let her get some rest. The front desk refused and was very rude to her. They didn't even want her in the lobby waiting for a bus from another hotel. They literally kicked a Navy sailor into the street with all of her luggage. The fine print in the bottom did mention 21. But I never would have thought to look. Ive never heard of that outside of 5 star hotels. It's the cheapest hotel in the city. The Hilton, 1000, times nicer came and picked her up and said of course

Booked a stay at this location this weekend. The service was terrible. We switched rooms twice. One room had bed bugs stains on the sheets. The second room had an actual bed bug on the light fixture. They double charged me for my room, even though I booked through a third party. When I called, I was told there was no transactions under my name, later after mentioning litigation, they found my transaction and was told it was a system error. I could not stay at this location due to uncomfortable conditions.
