Quality Inn Sacramento Convention Center

I stayed at this quality inn by myself and felt very safe and protected. The location is on constant lock down where you hotel key opens all the gates and elevators; making it very safe in the downtown area that is known for the homeless population. They had lots of breakfast options and the coffee is always nice, warm & brewed fresh. I can tell it was family owned because each and every employee is warm and inviting. I was experiencing a hard time in life and needed a break. Their kindness was healing. I would definitely recommend them for local stays if mothers or working professionals need a break from life. 10/10 recommend.

We were not met with good customer service upon our arrival. The hotel is not as advertised online. Very old and dingy. The lighting in the rooms is so dim, very old heating systems, strong odor in the room as well. Breakfast options were very limited. Worst of all, we found bugs in the bed. Possibly bed bugs and I did get bit on my arm. Very poor experience. Will never be staying here again.

Bad location. We stayed here for a dance comp because it was so close to the Memorial Auditorium, but that was a bad idea. It’s in a terrible location next to an alley, dumpsters from local restaurants and a huge parking structure where people were doing donuts and setting off car alarms all night. There was a homeless man who slept in the parking lot every night, he was benign but freaked out the kids. Rooms all smelled like cigarette smoke. It was a true motel with the rooms facing outdoors and fortunately a locked gate to enter the stairwell so we got the true prison experience. Only redeemable things were the super friendly staff and Mojo’s restaurant next door.

The hotel is centrally located. There are a bar and a few restaurants around. Check-in was friendly and efficient. The room offers a fridge, micro-wave. Plenty of outlets. There is desk. The bathroom is not super modern but quite acceptable. The A/C is very very loud. The breakfast is mainly waffles and some drinks. I found the room quite nice, but the loud A/C spoilt it a bit regarding sleep quality.

The relative cost, low, and proximity to downtown served me very well. The staff was incredible, especially the manager, who is a very kind, patient, and flexible man. I had an inside room, not a street-facing one. I find it rare to have a quiet room in a prominent city location at this price range. The room was clean and comfortable.
