Paradox Lodge

I stayed in the Sky View room in the Cedar building and it was wonderful. The decor was fabulous, from the bark ceiling to the antler stair railings. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom had great amenities and a jacuzzi tub. Nan gave me advice on what to do each day and even checked in later to see if I enjoyed my day. The breakfast was amazing too. As you can tell I loved the entire experience! Thank you!!!

This place was such a pleasant surprise!! We had read so many positive reviews online and the Paradox Lodge still over-performed! The setting is really unique and "special" and Nan and Red are fantastic, fun and welcoming. The food was incredible, the lodge was so comfortable and well done. We will certainly be back!

Amazing!!!!!!! Great room, fantastic location. Wonderful yard, right on the water. Within walking distance of delicious restaurants. Our room was cozy with a very very comfortable bed. Nan and Red were gracious hosts. Red was a very successful restaurant owner, so breakfast was worth the stay alone. We will stay again, only longer next time.

We have stayed with many bed and breakfasts during our travels, but Paradox is without doubt the best. Clean, comfortable rooms with great Adirondack ambience, perfect location, and wonderful hosts. We stay here every time we're in Lake Placid!

Only reason we stayed there was the rustic feeling of room which we were looking for but thats about it. The host was extremely unfriendly and the guy who was working in the kitchen just wont talk to us. Not sure how others wrote good review about the host she was not at all friendly or nice to us.
