Motel 6 Waterloo, IA - Crossroads Mall - Cedar Falls

Ok its a motel 6 so its not a 5 star hotel, so if you want a 5 star hotel dont go there. If you want a clean, nice place and a great price this is your stop! This place is not your typical motel 6 ..1st off its a hotel, not a motel. My room was big, well lit, soft comfy bed. Medium size tv with lots of channels and a mini fridge. (No microwave, no coffee maker) i had my dog with me -$20 deposit, refunded at checkout for good (quick) room inspection. The staff here was great! I had alot of bags plus my dog's crate. The man at the desk got a rolling cart, helped me load my bags & crate and wheeled it to my room for me -and as i reached to grab a couple bucks to tip him for his help he was gone -my point here is that he was genuinely helpful, not expecting any money. Positive: Nothing Negative: Smelled like weed, broken glass all over the parking lot, room was not clean, felt very unsafe we stayed a whole 5 minutes and then booked somewhere else that was cleaner and felt safer

Don't go there, and if you do, inspect everything first. ||I stayed one week and was humiliated a few times by Andy Patel, because I brought to his attention a few things that were broken and he didn't like it and was very rude. I renewed my stay for a second week, and as usual as soon as i checked in, i inspected the room and found a few things and took photos and went to the receptionist and reported them, which was relayed to Andy Patel. He instructed the receptionist to tell me that i had to check out the next day, because i told them what was broken in the room. I guess besides the cheaper rate, there is really nothing good. Rooms are bad and doors get stuck and fridge freezes your food and some rooms have broken window, and you cant even complain about any of them because they immed

Rooms were completely gross. We had cockroaches in our room. Locks were broke in our room, pool wasn't working, they said they had coffee, and things which they didn't. They charge a 20 dollar deposit which isn't posted. They say you can have bring pets but you can't leave them in the room. There are no accommodations. The outside door is broke so anyone can get in the motel. They don't have a house keeper. I highly recommend NOT staying there. It's completely disgusting.

Rude front desk personnel, hallways and room dirty, gross, smelled bad. Blood stains on the bedding material and pillow.
