Courtyard by Marriott Waterloo Cedar Falls

Stayed New Years Eve. Bartender was outstanding (wish I would have got his name). Rooms clean, high ceilings and didn't hear much noise, plus nice pool for kids to swim. Breakfast was excellent as well. Same guy taking breakfast orders in the morning and he still was wonderful. Will definitely stay again.

I try to stay here when I travel through this area. The design of the hotel is industrial sheikh and they have a great BBQ restaurant attached. This trip room 536 wouldn't cool down and I had to suffer through the night at 75 degrees. If you like hot yoga the workout room has been 80 degrees the last two times I visited.

Long-term stay; 2+ weeks. While there, sink water never got above lukewarm, water went out completely 1 night and entire next day (thanks for notifying guests—NOT!) When it did come back on, shower water was only lukewarm remainder of stay. Ice machine on floor was broken entire stay, requiring stop on a lower floor 6 of 7 days a week during stay. And washing machines were broken during stay. Repair person on the way? You tell me… Disappointing, and very frustrating. When you work 70 hours a week you hope basic necessities will be provided… Hope to never stay here again!

Positive: Being on the top floor and it was relatively quiet Negative: There were carpet strips coming up all over the place and holes in the ceilings in multiple spots. There were stains on the couch in our room. The pool was also disappointing that its not even 3ft deep and the water could have been warmer.

Great concept for the hotel. It’s an old John Deere building converted into a hotel. Very charming with the high ceilings and large rooms. We had to be moved to another room due to lukewarm water in the sink and completely clogged shower. The maintenance staff was not there on Sat night and Sunday. Once we got to our new upgraded room the tile floor in the living room area and bathroom was very dirty. The shower was dirty too with soap scum on the glass. I was not satisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms. I requested towels after we realized the rooms were not going to be cleaned daily and 2 foam pillows to come back that evening to neither.
