Best Western Plus Waterloo & Cedar Falls

The Location & Facility The hotel is perfectly situated in downtown Waterloo, making it a great base for exploring the area. Even with the sub-zero temperatures during my February visit, the stay was comfortable due to the excellent lift connectivity that links the rooms directly to the parking area. Note that car parking is available for a daily fee. The Room Experience My experience with the accommodations was a "tale of two rooms." Initial Check-in: I was originally allotted a handicapped-accessible room. As a professional traveler, I found the layout impractical for my needs. Unfortunately, the front desk was unable to resolve this initially. The Upgrade: After voicing my concerns through a review, the hotel moved me to a standard room which was fantastic. I cannot remember the name of the front desk person who was working the evening of 1/26/26, but she was amazing! I was having surgery the next morning to repair 2 fractured vertebrae, so I was in a lot of pain that night. She went above and beyond to help me out. Her kindness meant a lot to me. Also, the room was super clean. The whole hotel impressed me. But the front desk clerk should be recognized for her outstanding service.

I had an excellent stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcomed and well taken care of. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and every team member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and eager to help.|The room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed for both comfort and convenience. I especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchenette, comfortable bed, and the modern touches throughout the space. Housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping everything fresh during my stay.

Positive: We were upgraded to a suite. Received (a requested) blanket for the bed. The breakfasts offered a variety of items - pancakes, waffles, eggs, pastries, apples, and either bacon, brisket and gravy or sausage, cereal, oatmeal. Negative: ""

This hotel stay was absolutely wonderful. My guy's family and himself are from the Waterloo area- a new great grandbaby arrived so we stayed here for 5 wonderful days. I don't remember names but two of the front desk ladys were absolutely wonderful-so kind and people friendly. Also the pretty young lady attending breakfast was fabulous and she was training another young lady who was just as wonderful. I'm a Best Western employee myself-have worked at the Best Western in Hornell New York for almost 27 years so I know what they're jobs entail. We plan on coming back out for two weeks next year and very much hoping to see all these wonderful employees again-they absolutely made our stay great.(We stayed October 6th thru October 10th of 2025)
