Motel 6 Phoenix, AZ - North Bell Road

I will NEVER stay at this Motel 6 again. Reasons: The 2 male employees at the front desk were visiting with a group of men. My 1st room was dirty. No bed spread, just a well stained sheet. No air conditioning. No tv controller. My 2nd room had people sleeping on the stairwell by my door. The room still had no air conditioning, no bed spread, no tv controller and a constant flow of water running in the bath, which could not be turned off. This motel has become a real dump and feels unsafe, unkempt, unsanitary and unsavory. At least they did refund my money. I do not recommend anyone stay here!

The check-in staff member was friendly, but that unfortunately was the only upside. This location is a roof over your head but not much more. The stair well was riddled with bird feces. Once I got into my room, the floors were so sticky they held down my sandals more than once while walking across. The dresser/TV stand was missing the back 2 legs so it was just leaning against the wall holding on for dear life. The TV remote batteries kept popping out so that wasn't functional. There was also balled up latex gloves on the window sill in the room. The sink had caked on toothpaste to the drain. It looks like the "cleaning" staff just used a rag, got it soaked in the sink, and wiped all the surfaces. This would be a zero star review. The property is unkept and garbage everywhere. We were extremely sketched out by the other people lingering around the property. The staff was a bit unprofessional and very lax about the motel as a work place. We got to our room, opened the door to stains on the bed sheet. There wasn’t even a blanket on the bed. Just a sheet. The floor had crumbs everywhere and had a dingy smell. We walked right back out, I went to get a refund as we were there for 5 minutes. The staff didn’t ask why or ask how they could make it better, again they clearly did not care. They wouldn’t even give a refund receipt and just said it would go back on our card. Do not stay here unless you are looking for trouble or health problems.

I was extremely repulsed with my stay here. The moment I walked into the hotel, the smell of smoke hit me-it was strong, stale, and honestly disgusting. It lingered all night, making it really hard to feel comfortable. The room was dirty and poorly maintained. The floors didn't look like they had been cleaned, the bedding and shower curtain was stained, the smoke detector was covered by plastic, and the overall atmosphere was just unpleasant. Definitely not what you expect when booking a hotel. To make things worse, the receptionist was unprofessional and unapproachable. She was on her cell phone with what seemed to be a personal call while helping guests. Relay personal information about the reservation to whoever she was on the phone with. I would not recommend staying here. This one is

You literally get what you pay for. However, this may not be the nicest motel in the area but I would 1,000% come back simply because of the young lady working the front desk. She was an absolute doll. Very kind and friendly, despite all the crazies she had to deal with. If I was rating the place just simply on my experience with her (I wish I would’ve gotten her name) I would rate this place a 10/5. However, check in is at 3pm. Or you can pay $20 to check in early. I was waiting for a room since 3:30pm and didn’t get one until almost 6:00pm (and motel 6 didn’t pay me $20 forcing me to take a late check in).
