Motel 6 Phoenix, AZ - East

I reserved a room online as I was in the area while my husband was in the hospital. When I arrived at the motel the desk clerk was rude. The room was so disgusting I could not stay there. I tried to get my money back but the clerk claimed I needed to do it online. Motel 6 guest relations said I had to get it from the motel. I could never reach them by phone until this morning. They claim I stayed in the room and refused to refund me and then hung up on me.

We booked this hotel for the last night of our Arizona road trip because it was near the airport. After a 5 hour drive through the mountains we arrived at 4.00 to find the building surrounded by a security fence with "do not enter" signs. Fortunately it was early enough to find an alternative. I had been sent an email the day before saying they looked forward to my visit. AVOID.

I wish I could give this hotel more than 3 stars, as the staff was good, the location was quiet enough, availability, price; all were good.. except the room was not as clean as one would like. Maybe a hair here or there, the towels were definitely not clean/stained, and I heard the sheets weren't much better (although mine were fine). Some better cleaning of the entire room and clean towels needs improvement. Wifi is offered, but has obviously been down for a long time as the "temporary not available" note at the front desk looks fairly aged. If you're looking for a cheap room, that's good enough then this is a good hotel, but if you're a cleanliness person there's probably better or at least know that you get what you pay for.

Booked for one night for cousin and aunt. They immediately found roaches crawling on the walls, with the lights on! Front desk said they would send someone to "take care of it." Did not offer to switch rooms; what would they do, come fumigate? My family left and I was left scrambling to find them another room as they drove across Phoenix. I was successful, but have not been refunded for the room and am now out the cost of two separate hotels. There has not been a manager available when I call, and no one from the hotel has called me back to follow up. The front desk clerk yelled at my cousin and myself when I called to speak to a manager. Did receive an email back from guest relations after a week offering me a $20 credit for the $130 room. Not an acceptable way to do business and please b

Positive: Nothing. Negative: The rooms were disgusting. One was full of smoke. The other smelt like Tom cats. We checked out after one night.
