Motel 6 Olathe, KS

The kid working the front desk is legitimately the NICEST person you’ll ever meet! His mom and dad definitely raised him right! I read another review saying the rooms are “basic”. They are, but what do you expect for a $72 room,??? They are clean and cute. The only reason I rated the room a 4 is because they need to swap out the bright lightbulbs for softer ones, at least the lights by the bed (in my room anyway). They also don’t charge a fee for pets, so if you do stay here with your pet, PLEASE clean up after your pet inside and outside. Don’t wreck it for those of us who respect other people’s property! In my option, this is a great place to stay and super awesome staff!!!

Positive: "" Negative: Elevator smelled like cigarettes, rooms were very small, no fridge or microwave, no soap in the bathrooms to wash hands or even take a shower! Never staying there again!

Very basic room but for the price, the beds were comfortable hir good night sleep, room was clean (room 107) , and front desk friendly. Only coffee offered. ||My only negatives: 1. Only a bar of soap. No shampoo or kleenex. 2. The floor was somewhat sticky. It appears they tried to clean but water wasn't switched out between rooms. Not enough to account for negative reviews.

⸻ I am absolutely beyond furious after staying at Motel 6 Olathe last night. As a mother, I booked this room expecting the bare minimum: a clean, safe, honest place to sleep. What we got was the complete opposite. Let’s start with the beds — they were HARD AS A ROCK. I’m not exaggerating. It felt like sleeping on a slab of concrete. After a long day, the last thing a family needs is to wake up sore and miserable because the mattress might as well have been the floor. The cleanliness? Disgusting. The bathroom mirror was FILTHY. Not “a little streaky.” FILTHY. If you can’t even wipe down a mirror, what else aren’t you cleaning? The bedding smelled like straight-up cigarettes in what was supposed to be a NON-SMOKING room. A good place to stay although the motel 7 up the road has one more number to it. I did not encounter any bugs sadly. I was looking for cockroaches to enter into the gladiator ring that is over at 7/11.
