Metro Phoenix Extended Stay

My stay here was actually pretty good, the 2 bedroom that I rented was nice. There's a lot of negative reviews at this place that I just find hard to believe. My AC didn't work when I first got here, I went and told the desk and immediately fixed it. I found 1 cockroach, told the front desk and it was taken care of. So far ive been here almost 3 weeks and haven't seen another. Yes this area of town is known for homeless people, I did have someone ask me for money and security was on it, told them to leave. People say they feel unsafe here and whatnot, I haven't gotten that feeling the whole time I've been here. Security is out all night and they have plenty of cameras. The room was absolutely filthy! There was crumbs in the sheets, along with cigarette burns and pee on the toilet! The pictures speak for themselves. We asked for more towels and they got MAD and hesitated, then saying they don’t usually give out towels… like what? It’s a hotel? The place did not seem safe what so ever. It was crawling with homeless people. I was scared to bring my children to the pool. Overall it seemed like a decent place by the pictures they have but it was WAY below my standards. I met another nice family and they had all of the same issues! We had a room with a loft and pull out couch, and. A bed on the main floor. The sofa bed had only 1 sheet on it. The main floor has 1 pillow and the loft had 2 pillows. We had to ask for more blankets as there was only 1 in our room

This place is horrible, first I got a smaller cheaper room than I paid for. They would not reimburse me for the extra money I paid for a bigger room that was agree upon when I booked it. The Air conditioner filters are completely canes with lint and dust. I will attach pictures of that. Smelled of old water. The couch was wet and stained when we arrived. Wet it was wet and smelly. I will also put up pictures of that. They have us 1 towel for 4 people. When I asked for more they did you have to wash them yourself and you don’t get more. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DON'T BOOK HERE! We arrived after driving all day. The outside of the place appears nice and the pool. When we walked in should have already known something was wrong. The front desk had a sign saying please remove hoodies for safety. Then after getting our code to our room we walked in. The place had such a bad odor my daughter and I couldn't breath, The sofa was ripped, screen ripped, bed cover had stains and cigarette burns, sheets were dirty, black patches all over ceiling. The bathtub was black, dirty and stains all around. We immediately left and reported to the front desk. Horrible place. Booking this was a huge mistake and I regret not checking the reviews first. The problems started right away with the online check in. Their system is terrible. When you try to select the refundable deposit option, it simply does not go through. It fails over and over until you’re basically forced to choose the non refundable option instead. That should be clearly disclosed because it feels misleading. Then the room code they gave me didn’t work at all. I was locked outside waiting for almost an hour until someone finally showed up. Even then, they still struggled to fix it properly and wasted even more of my time. No urgency, no apology, nothing. Once I finally got inside, it somehow got worse. The room was disgusting.
