Maple Manor Motel

We were looking for an economical place to stay the night...We found it! Pulled in here expecting the worst, BUT FOUND A GREAT PLACE!! It appears dated from the outside. Being located behind a hourly looking place did not help. Walked into the office and encountered two of the nicest ladies. $56.75 for the room (info on room below) includes a breakfast for each guest in the cafe located in the same parking lot!!! The room is very modern. Appears to have new carpet and very comfy beds. All of the people here are super nice!!!! We did not use it, but, there is a also a bar on site.

This place is a joke. The owners are neglectful and abusive towards their employees and their guests. The kitchen has mice with droppings all around and they've gotten into the food multiple times. The owner allowed the heat in the entire motel to be out for over a week in subzero temps and accused the management of exaggerating how cold it was. The electricity is absolutely abhorrent and the entire building is nowhere near up to code yet somehow they continue to get away with it. The owner comes in and screams at staff members until they are in tears. Threatens them. Lies to everyone. He runs this place on fear because everyone who is checked in to the motel signs a waiver of their tenants rights so he's allowed to just kick people out because he feels like it. I ate here for a meet and greet. Would you believe that the service was devilishly awful? No Caesar dressing for my salad order in the restaurant, waitress asked the people who I was with approximately 4 separate times what they ordered again. I had a 6 year old who wanted pancakes for breakfast and when food came out my salad without dressing of any kind was the only thing they brought out ,she didn't know when the pancakes were coming because they sent someone to the store to purchase eggs. 🙃 I told them we are not paying and to cancel our order after awful service and communication.

The staff is great and super friendly. The bar and restaurant are amazing. The rooms are really dirty! The tub is black, never cleaned correctly, the floor wasn't vacuumed and one bed was covered in crumbs:(. They no longer provide a breakfast which use to be the best in town and was big reason I chose to stay at The Maple Manor. The only reason I give it a three because of all the good memories, this is a true OG hotel of EC.

A quiet Old-fashion motel resembling the last 50's type design. Has that quaint charm, never going to be 5 star, but will be a great 3 star motel. Consistent in achieving the best basic service when you need a place to stay. You should be happy with a great night's sleep and still have money in your pocket.
