Best Western Plus Eau Claire Conference Center

We have stayed here off and on for years when we come to visit family. Its a clean nice place with very comfortable beds. The indoor pool and hot tub is always a plus! New owners have bought it recently and there has been a change! The staff has become super friendly! The Black Bear Bar and Grill has changed to The Sawmill Bar and Grill and WOW the menu has such a variety of foods now!! We did the Steak Quesadillas and they were FABULOUS!!! Our drinks were perfectly made with Coke and Rum. The breakfast here has always been good but We feel it took a step up with the new owners! They still have the fresh yogurt machine but have added healthier topping for it. They have a small bakery area with wheat bread, white bread, biscuits, English muffins and different types of bagels. Shower drain wouldn't drain... Upon peeping what the cause was.... I find the entire drain blocked with this wad of hair. Never should a paying customer have to even think about this let alone dig it out themselves. ****UPDATE**** The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was loud and the family above me sounded like they were going to fall through the ceiling, this went on from 7pm the time I arrived to 10pm-11pm, at this time I did say something to the front desk about it, but it didn't stop until 12am-1am. The amount of things I found on the floor under things was interesting, pliers... hair clips, trash and a fork... The towards the end of my stay the weather turned from rain to sleet and back. I stayed at this Best Western Plus during my route, and the experience was smooth, comfortable, and well organized from the moment I arrived. Check-in was quick, and the staff handled everything with a friendly, professional attitude. The room was clean, spacious, and set up properly — comfortable bed, good lighting, and a quiet environment that made it easy to rest after a long day. The bathroom was in solid condition with strong water pressure and clean surfaces. Wi-Fi worked reliably, and the workspace in the room was convenient for catching up on messages or planning the next stop. The breakfast area in the morning was well stocked, with plenty of options and a clean, organized setup. Parking was easy, the building felt safe, and the overall atmosphere was calm and well maintained. T

Positive: Great location, very nice hot tub Negative: No towels in pool area (not a huge deal just frustrating), restaurant left something to be desired.

Stayed here several nights. This is a decent hotel. Our room was clean and hotel was quiet. The staff that we dealt with were pleasant and helpful. Nonetheless, it is in need of some updating. Specifically the furniture in our room while serviceable needs to be replaced. Plus the room, which was a suite, has a strange tile corner in living room portion of the suite. I can only assume that there was a whirlpool in that corner at one time, which they tiled over. Which of course makes me wonder how old the carpet is? I also found the WiFI slow, even during off peak hours. I am retired, but if I was traveling for work, it would have been hard to work from here. The hotel breakfasts were fine.
