MainStay Suites Lansing West

NEVER stay here! They charge a $100 security deposit but do not pay it back! I have called the hotel and corporate Choice Privileges and they have said repeatedly they gave me the $100 back when they absolutely did not, which my bank confirmed, and now I have to dispute the charge with my bank. Absolutely insane. Also, these remodeled rooms are still in Clarion Hotel.

It was advertised as an apartment style room with a full kitchen. We received a basic room with a mini fridge and microwave. As well as still waiting six days after the stay for my deposit back. No I would neither return or recommend.

The room was very nice, however it need some updates, the mirror light in the bathroom did not work, the smoke alarm was beeping needed a fresh battery. Breakfast filt like a prison you need to show a voucher, food was not available.

It felt dirty. There were rooms with doors missing their handles, and holes in its place. It was a cheap place to sleep, but don’t expect great quality.

Great location, and clean rooms, with an affordable price.
