Laurel Lake Placid

My family and I stayed at the BlueBird hotel back in October of 2025 for a wedding. We had a couple of issues sadly. The location of the BlueBird was amazing! It was a little walk down a big hill to the main street of beautiful Lake Placid. We did enjoy going to Roomers club at night which was a walk! But still doable.. Anyways! The pool was shut down at the time we went and that was disappointing, we really wanted to swim. Next, the parking at the hotel was awful, if you did not find a spot by check in time then you were screwed sadly. We watched multiple people circling the parking lot each night for a spot to never find one. Second, we had a room that had two splits of rooms which was nice. The rooms however, the furniture is a bit odd. There’s no place to put your stuff like a standard

Positive: Walkable location and view of the lake. Negative: The pool was not working. The room needs repair. The sink and vanity looked like it was falling out of the wall. Parts of it were broken off. Front desk needs more customer service training. Key card stops working 5 min before checkout.

Bluebird Lake Placid is a super quaint and cozy boutique hotel—I absolutely loved this place. The décor and overall ambiance were incredible, making it feel warm and inviting from the moment we arrived. The location is great and close to everything, and the staff were super accommodating throughout our stay. The rooms and common areas were nice and clean as well. The only thing to note is that breakfast was quite minimal. Overall, a fantastic stay and a place I’d happily return to.

My husband and I stayed here over the New Year holiday. The location is great - so close to the main street and the view from the common area is beautiful. We were a little disappointed in some things for the price we paid. I believe the hotel just went under new management before our stay so they may need some time to make improvements. Things I'd change - it's all in the details to help guests feel comfortable! -Cleanliness: The room was a little dirty upon check in, not terrible but some stuff left in corners on the floor and some dust on molding. There was no mat to wipe off or our boots and no where to keep them. My hockey team recently had the pleasure of staying at the Laurel hotel, we could not have had a better experience! The rooms were spacious, the staff was amazing and the huge open social areas were perfect to relax and unwind at the end of the day. There was a large room they let the kids play knee hockey in and the adults could relax by the fire. Thank you for making our tournament weekend wonderful!!!
