La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rock Hill

A friend who used to live here told me to go to this La Quinta, when we had to come up the week of Thanksgiving to move our son to a new apartment. She was absolutely correct! We have a service dog for my handicapped husband, and the front desk was so kind and helpful! We needed a recliner or couch for my husband to sleep on, and they gave us a room with a nice chaise where he could stretch out. The bed was sooo comfortable, the perfect union of firm and pillowy. The breakfast was marvelous, even on Thanksgiving morning; the coffee was kept full, everything was full, even the fruit and yogurt, as well as the eggs and sausages. Plenty of cereal and waffle batter, too! She kept the area so clean! The housekeeping staff could not have been better; everything smelled so clean all week long. Th

Positive: The shower head is great--the bed was super comfortable as well. Negative: Would like to have had access to a grill.

Hotel is great. Rooms are very well kept and the continental breakfast is impressive with eggs and sausage patties Along with all of the other offerings. There is an adequate fitness center and the front desk check-in was the smoothest I’ve ever had. My main complaint is with the water. You are playing Russian roulette with the shower. You can get it to the right temperature and it will be fine for about 90 seconds and then you have to jump out of the stream Of water for about 10 seconds as it goes from perfection to an ice bath. This happened both in the evening and in the morning, so it seems to be a consistent issue and not tied to high usage. The saloon would make me a question staying here again.

The hotel is amazing. I always stay at the La Quinta. I’m rewards member and they treated me amazing the night manager. Kristen was very helpful knowledgeable and compassionate. She is a hard worker and I made sure I told others in the lobby how amazing she was to put a review in. I am very pleased and I usually talk But for Kristen, I felt like you all needed to know that you have a great employee

Rooms could have been cleaner. We were not sure the frig was working - pulled it out saw that it was plugged in and on coolest setting but not very cold. Hubby carried insulin and we improvised with a bucket of ice. In the bathroom lower rings of the sink were visually dusty. Beds were comfy. Room temp ok - needed some adjustments to have a cool room to sleep during the night. Breakfast area was wonderful. Good variety. Overall ok for a one night stay.
