Cambria Hotel Rock Hill - University Center

I have been staying at cambria suites for a few nights with a friend and the customer service here is amazing . The rooms are decent but the hot tub was a nice addition to my stay . Be sure to check out the menu in the loom because the crab soup is by far my favorite dish !! The staff is also very nice and attentive which is always a 10/10 . I’m writing this review because I noticed a strange group of men on Sunday night who appeared to be intoxicated and predatory . I was in the restaurant area and was actually approached by one those men who said he was with a KCI group . I overheard sexual comments being made to the bartender and I also dealt with sexual harassment. When we got there, the front desk associate was less than welcoming. We got to our room and the first thing noticed was the air freshener can laying on top of the coffee cups, then we saw the bathroom looked like they were in the middle of the cleaning when they left, the floor was sticky (all of which I would have overlooked), but then when we were putting stuff down, we saw someone's underwear and shorts on the ground next to the bed. We went down to the desk to request a new room, and she didn't seem concerned at all. Not apologetic or anything, just have us a new room and sent us on our way. This was not a very good experience. We arrived on a Sunday and checked out on a Wednesday. The only time the bed was made, and we received fresh towels was when I had to go down to the front desk and request this to be done, and this took almost the entire day. My room was never cleaned and the only way i got fresh towels was to go to front desk and request them. There is no free breakfast. We paid for breakfast every morning that we ate there and we never ate dinner because the menu was lacking. As a matter of fact, I never saw more than 5 people who looked as though they were guests the entire time I was there. The treadmills in the exercise room did not work. In town for weekend event at the Rock Hill Event Center, so proximity is great. Room we had (6th floor) is carpet and seemingly allergen free. Nicely remodeled room & bathroom. Rooftop bar was a hit one evening. Used ice machine successfully several times. Didn’t use fitness center but it looked in good shape.

We stayed at this hotel recently, and while the room wasn’t super clean when we arrived, we didn’t make a big deal out of it. However, once we got into bed, things took a horrible turn. My wife woke up with bites and welts all over her body, and I had several on my face and chest. At first, we were going to let it go, but as the day went on, the bites got worse. My wife ended up with a fever and had to go to urgent care, where she was treated for what the doctor confirmed were insect bites. We contacted the hotel immediately, but the manager never responded. I also reached out to corporate, who just deferred me back to the general manager, who still hasn’t returned my call. The lack of accountability is unbelievable. I work for a large company with offices nearby, and we regularly have em
