La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Florence

The room television did not work and neither did the phone. The bathtub had hair and looked dirty. I stay at la quinta all the time. This one was not clean. We also waited for over 20 minutes before the front desk person was available to check us in. We couldn't find her. The morning breakfast staff was not friendly and quite frankly rude. I smiled and said good morning and complimented how nice everything looked and barely got acknowledged. I will never stay at this establishment in Florence South Carolina again.

Excellent stay. Clean hotel. Variety of hot and cold breakfast items available. Clean and functioning hotel rooms. Welcoming front desk. Quiet room with excellent tv variety along with Wi-Fi available. Pets are welcomed. Service was great. Value was reasonable for the area and convenient location. Been staying here for many years and keep returning.

Positive: Dog friendly for service dog Negative: Called ahead after making reservations and requested ground floor room, which I was told I would be assigned. (most convenient for 70 yr old with service dog). Unfortunately, upon ck-in we were assigned to second floor room.

The staff were all very nice, accommodating, and understanding. The first room we got wasn’t clean and ready, no problem so we asked for another room. The 2nd one smelled like someone with a dog had just stayed in there and like dog pee. We got a 3rd room and they upgraded us to a suite which was very nice and spacious. Checked for bed bugs and there was none that I saw, however, there was a huge roach in the toilet and the toilet wouldn’t flush. Walking through the halls to all these rooms, the carpet and walls were dirty and overall smelled gross. We ended up staying at the holiday inn express and it was much better. Again, the staff were all very nice and welcoming it was just the quality of the hotel that was poor :/

I was blessed to get a room there late in the evening. Pleased the room available was spacious accessible, clean with microwave, combo refrigerator with operative individual freezer. The room had a hard copy list of TV channels available where you didn't have to scroll the TV to fine your favorite channels. This was my first stay at a La Quinta Inn & Suites. Unfortunately my wife didn't come along for short stay. I believe she would've been please with this Hotel. She and I are usually big fans of Marriott's accommodations. I give breakfast of a rate of 3 stars; only one fresh fruit and portions of sausage were over cooked around the edges. I saw one attendant in area. Overall I was satisfied with my short stay.
