Hyatt Place Philadelphia/King of Prussia

I am giving this Hyatt Place 3 stars because two employees Aisha & Erica who went above and beyond in hospitality. The hotel itself is older definitely needs updating. When I checked in, my initial room smelled like smoke. The second like mildew. Aisha handled the issue while I was gone and came back to a better, fresher room. She was so empathetic and helpful. I confused my check out time, and Erica was so helpful. While I was out of my room, Erica had extended my stay and had my new keys upon my return. Overall, the hotel needs a complete update, but Aisha and Erica made it ok. ☺️

Breakfast was terrible and very dirty. Pool was disgusting very dirty. Hotel room bathroom not cleaned looked like pubic hair on the floor. The smell of marijuana throughout hotel was awful. I mean it was everywhere. Would definitely not go here with children. Also they advertise a bar on the website. There was none. Just not a good place to stay.

Positive: Great room with ample sleeping accomodations for a mother and her two young adult daughters. TV remote wasn't working. Kids and I diagnosed dead batteries. Took it to front desk and they fixed it right away. Negative: The breakfast was terrible. Not a lot of choices and not replenished enough. The coffee was the color of tea. Also, the toilet in our room "ran". It seemed to have a broken water inlet piece and every time I got it back into place it fell out again.

We just got back from a two-night stay at the Hyatt Place in King of Prussia and had a really great experience. First off, the location is unbeatable. We were literally right next to the mall, which was perfect for some shopping, and there are a ton of restaurants within a 5-minute drive. It made everything so easy. The room was super spacious and clean. We loved the layout with the little semi-separated living area—it was nice to have the couch and desk space instead of just a bed. The free breakfast was a awesome perk. It had the usual stuff like pastries and cereal, but also hot items like breakfast sandwiches and oatmeal. Way better than your standard continental breakfast. Great overnight stay after a work Christmas party. The staff was wonderful. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing. Nice free breakfast. The hotel could use some updates. The shower pressure was low, the ice machines didn't work but the staff provided ice and there was an issue with the pool lock but the staff worked on it immediately. Overall it was a great time for a reasonable price.
