Holiday Inn Gaithersburg by IHG

The room was grimey. Torn and faint stained bedding. One of the beds we could feel the metal springs.There was no where to charge our phones. Outlets for the phone were broken. Front desk stated that were the only two phone chargers in the room, which were broken. Carpet was stained and gross. Dusty headboards and lights. Flickering bathroom lights, grouts, and caulking needs refinishing, old scratched bathroom fixtures, metal shower curtain holders, scratch up tub, pool NOT heated , pool room FREEZING 🥶 cold, no Jacuzzi available like the front desk stated, breakfast customer service was nice, food okay. I called the front desk a minimum of seven times prior asking questions about this hotel for our mini vacation from North Carolina Carolina and New York. Being handicap, I was disappoint

The staff was excellent!!! The check-in desk women Luna helped us not only with check-in but also info on the train to Washington DC and local eateries. Lisa the bartender was so friendly, funny and pleasant she made every evening having a drink worth coming down to the bar. The young black chief came and introduce himself to use and although I only had the barbeque chicken wings they were cooked wonderfully. The facility was older but kept very clean. Great stay.

This hotel definitely shows it age but overall, the rooms are well kept and the staff at the front desk and the restaurant are very kind and welcoming. The shower has great water pressure and all the dove amenities. The heater is strong which was great during these cold temps. Also love that there’s a microwave, fridge and self-service laundry. Great value for the price. Hopefully a renovation will come down the line and it’ll be even better!

The service at the bar/restaurant is wonderful. Kenny was so personable and goes above and beyond to ensure each guest or visitors experience is a memorable one! Will definitely be back! The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating when I had questions and quick to replace a room card I had an issue with too!

During checking in the morning the treatment was not the best. When we came back at night the treatment from another lady Mouna was very professional and changed our perspective. |During our 6 night stay the service at the restaurant from Ester and Ana was outstanding, they really try hard to satisfy the customers.||The hotel is at short walking distance from Costco, Sams, and shopping centers. The Uber drivers are close to the area and respond quickly.||I recommend this hotel for a nice stay
