Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center

I had an absolutely fabulous stay at this Marriott. I chose it because it is a full service hotel (restaurant, fitness center, lounge for members, etc) and for the location. The rooms are a little dated, but very comfortable, clean and well appointed. My room had a view of the shopping area and lake and was very quiet. The fitness center is clean and well appointed. The biggest surprise was how good the food was. I only ate breakfast over my two day stay but each entree was incredibly delicious and the menu had so many options. The service - from front desk to restaurant staff to security and bellmen - was exceptional. Every team member is friendly and welcoming. I look forward to returning!

The room is very clean and well equipped. The location is fantastic. We were really impressed with the concierge level offerings in the lounge, especially the food. We would stay again. A few points of feedback: 1. The room was VERY warm, it wouldn’t go below 65 degrees for some reason. 2. The toiletries did not smell nice at all. 3. The staff on the front desk at check in were very friendly, but didn’t seem quite trained up on things when we asked about the package deal we had booked and how to access it. 4. Some savoury snacks (chips or something) and multiple types of diet drinks would have been a bonus in the Concierge Lounge.

First time at this Marriott for a work trip. Familiar with the area but did not realize how great the location was. The room was superb with a great view of the water and walking distance to great dining options at the Rio. Was here on a work trip and the service was top notch. Special thanks to Sajag Puri who went out of his way to make my stay great and our colleagues feel welcome.

I normally have an enjoyable stay, however this time was different, it seems the hotel is not stocking the rooms with Life Water and then charging guest for the water. The cost is $5.69, luckily I noticed the charge and called the hotel and the manager removed the cost. This is a preferred hotel for our organization and one of my associates said he had the same charge on his bill. Marriott you can do better. Wonder how much money they have made charging for the water? Check your bills
