Comfort Inn Shady Grove - Gaithersburg - Rockville

Stayed here for 4 days last month and found the hotel excellent. It is a good basic hotel with all the comforts and service one would ask for. The managers, which may be a family, are friendly and very helpful. Hot breakfast is basic but works. Very convenient location too. I will definitely stay here again!

The staff are excellent (friendly, very attentive to maintaining breakfast area/lobby/rooms; clean and well-maintained facilities). The rooms are nicely sized with comfy beds. I was pleasantly surprised to find a mini fridge and safe. I loved that their breakfast spread contained fresh fruit (apples, oranges), juice options, hot breakfast, and the fun waffle maker. It was also so nice to have a nice quaint stay in a neighborhood that’s close but outside of the DC. The hotel offers free parking which is a great perk regardless of whether you choose to ride the Red Line metro or directly drive into the city.

I enjoy staying here whenever I am in town for work. Front desk manager Peykan is always friendly, expedient, and helpful. The hotel is clean and they pride themselves on the continental breakfast offering. Plenty of restaurants in walking distance.

Very clean, very quiet location, updated rooms, nice attentive staff. Beds were fairly comfortable, very nice linens, a bit too hard for my taste but better than most alternatives. The forced air did have a fan always on option, so it doesn't wake you up while sleeping, kicking on and off in automatic mode. For the Gaithersburg Rockville area the price quality ratio was the best of the options available, 40 minute commute to DC border. The Kreeger museum and the National Cathedral were quite doable from this location. Two Ethiopian restaurants just a few minutes' drives away in opposite directions. Choice hotels somewhat eco conscious breakfast is what keeps me coming back to them, although this location had black plastic utensils, which is the worst of the options (can't be recycled anywh

We stayed six nights and thought the rooms were adequate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We thought the breakfast was very good. Very convenient location and loved the easy parking! Will stay there again.
