Hilton Sacramento Arden West

The lobby and staff are nice. The hotel after the lobby is very dated. We stayed on the 12th floor and the hallway to the room had a urine like smell. The popcorn ceilings and old light switches and plugs from the 90s they looked like. Also our bathroom switch barely worked with a broken ground plug stem sticking out of the outlet next to it. Also the restaurant/bar stated its open until 12am on Friday and Saturday, which it actually closes at 10pm. Bummer if your planning on it. Positive the beds are very comfortable and the room felt clean. The shower worked well but again was dated. Good coffee in the room also. The parking lot has quite a bit of transient activity so recommend bringing all belongings inside. Extra lot security would be nice 3 people min security recommended. This Hilto

The hotel was clean; the location was central with easy access to the freeways. The food was really good, and the service was excellent.

Don’t get the grand entry fool you. If you’re simply seeking a 2 star hotel to stay at, there are much better options for the price. Hilton will sneak in another $15 for parking. Coffee options limited to the restaurant downstairs. Rooms are dated but quiet. Customer service is a hit and miss. Front desk check in clerk was not friendly, an automated check in kiosk would’ve done a better job. However kudos to the evening crew for smiling each time I walked past them. To Hilton, set up a coffee bar in the morning. Train your staff to be friendly.

When I booked this gem of a hotel stay a few days back, they prompted me for a $6 “upgraded room,” which I declined bc… I thought it was a joke. ||When I checked in, I realized the joke was on me. I was here for a volleyball tournament and wasn’t exactly “delighted” when I arrived in my second floor room at 10pm overlooking a wedding and dance party below. Aside from being able to waive to the wedding party, it was as loud as if I was on the dance floor with them.||So…. I asked to switch and they politely offered me a 10th floor room where”with no heating system” for the upgraded price. Fine until the next night when the power went out in the bathroom during a shower after the tournament.||Thank you Hilton Arden- for charging me for such an incredible upgrade. We can’t wait to come back.

Pretty outdated. Probably built in the '70s. There's no exhaust vans in the bathroom so that's how you can tell. Good TVs mini fridge microwave. That's usually all you need. But it's not really fancy pants. It's totally normal pants.
