Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta NE/Gwinnett Sugarloaf

Stayed for a short business trip in May 2025. I found the hotel did not live up to the standard one expects from a Hilton Garden Inn.|I booked a studio suite room and the room looked like it was unfinished. The taps on the kitchen sink were constantly leaking; the mini-fridge that should have been fitted under the counter top was placed randomly in the middle of the kitchen because it did not fit under the counter top. The shower rail in the bathroom was heavily corroded.|The room itself was very spacious and, with a bit of effort, it can be made into a fantastic hotel room.|I did not try the hotel restaurant so unable to comment.|If you ar absolutely struggling for a hotel to stay in the area, I guess this would be an adequate last resort option.

We recently hosted my husband’s 50th birthday celebration here, and it was absolutely fantastic. Ann in Sales deserves special recognition because she truly made this event happen. She was flexible, responsive, and endlessly patient (I lost count of the emails we exchanged). She also offered creative ideas for the event itself. There were several comparable hotels that I visited to look for a space in that price range, but I chose the Hilton Garden Inn specifically because of Ann. She was energetic, collaborative, and genuinely invested in our experience. The front desk staff was also friendly, welcoming, and professional during my visits to the space, and for the night we stayed. Also, kudos to our bartender Jenise. She was phenomenal. Positive: The locations to the venue was amazing was able to walk to the venue as well as restaurants close by. Negative: The bathroom door was very hard to open and close and was very noisy. Going to the restroom in the middle of the night turned into waking everyone in the room up. Additionally our bathroom did not have a fan so the entire room was subjected to fun smells

Service was great everyone's friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and bug free but the windows are drafty with mold trying to form around the edges and the walls seem to be made of craypaper since you can hear not only the 8 rooms touching yours but every room down your hallway. A little insulation in the walls and better windows would make this a great hotel. The pool and hot tub both need a good scrubbing and the lifts don't work. This was an birthday present for my 72 years young handicapped mom, so kinda disappointed.

Briana at the front desk and Hylan at the bar truly make this hotel worth every stay. From the moment I arrived, Briana was welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful. She made check-in smooth and set the tone for a great experience with her warm personality and attention to detail. Hylan at the bar was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what she does. The drinks were spot on, and his great conversation made the atmosphere even better. It’s staff like Briana and Hylan that turn a regular hotel stay into a memorable one. I’ll definitely be back because of them!
