Hillside Inn

This hotel has a good opportunity to be a good hotel but it is dirty when I had stayed here their were BED BUGS in the beds and roaches crawling in different areas this place is a health hazard their is high drug activity. The manager was rude and condescending would not recommend bringing kids much less yourself don’t waste your money

Upon walking in the room there were cigarette butts all over the floor, on top of that when we opened the dresser drawer there was a used crack pipe just sitting there. So obviously to me it's as if the room wasn't cleaned properly and on top of that there was a giant blonde hair ball that did not belong to me, my husband, or my dog. The bathroom wasnt clean and there was apparently somehow or another lkkķonmñib a hole in the bathtub in which they use caulk to cover the hole in the bottom of the bathtub and then there was more caulk on the wall where I guess another hole was the person that runs the hotel is very disrespectful and rude and has no idea how to talk to people or how to properly clean a hotel room if I could give it zero Stars I would and I give everybody this piece of advice

This place would be extra good if they could update the things in the rooms. It is a pretty reasonable place to stay for a night if you just want to find a quick place to sleep without spending all your money to do so. I went here a time or two and the housekeeper always failed to knock before they come in each time i went so that may happen but overall it is decent.

We stayed for just one night, picked a river view room. It was clean but a little noisy from other patrons in the evening. The breakfast was filling and the view from there was great .Staff was gracious. Clifty Falls was close so we drove through the park, stopped at a few of the trails and got some pretty pictures of the falls. No admission charge this time of year. Madison is a fun town.

For the most part the rooms were okay except the light didnt work and the room smelt like old people no offense..and the manager lady tells us one price while the man tells us another and as a team i think they should work better together and lower the price a lil since it doesnt have breakfast, vending machines, a pool, or anything to that nature . & lastly not being nit picky but they should do some type of reward or credit for the people that come alot to get like half off or a free night or something of that sort to make people want to keep coming back...
