Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta/Duluth/Gwinnett County

The lobby was under construction which we were not informed of prior to arrival. The TV remote did not work properly and it would not turn the TV on or off, although it would change the channels and volume. We were able to turn the TV on manually, but even at the highest setting the volume was extremely low and we could not hear it over the loud AC unit.||In the morning I found that the in room coffee maker was broken. It was boiling the water so aggressively that it started spitting out the top, but it would not drip through the grounds. At 5:30 a.m. I went to the lobby for coffee instead, but there was none available. When I asked when it would be ready, the front desk employee said likely not until 7 a.m. when the morning staff arrived because he did not have any filters.||We ended up l

The hotel staff seems reclusive. The hotel itself is poorly remodeled. The whole time we stayed it was hot in the hallways. The room A/C units are old, and noisy. The thermostat in the room doesn’t work correctly, 70 is a sauna and 69 is a freezer. It’s impossible to get comfortable. Numerous ladybugs in the room. The sink/tub in my room were clogged with what appeared to be construction material… the tub took 45 mins to drain every day. Housekeeping never came every other day as is standards with Hampton Inn. Won’t be returning, not sure how it’s still a Hampton…

First night me and my friends went to our room and there were lady bugs everywhere. We went down and explained the situation and the man working the desk was really nice and gave us a new room. The second room also had lady bugs but not as many so we asked if someone would come and vacuum them up (they did). The next day they were back so we paid $45 to upgrade to the suite in hopes it would be a better quality room. Again started off good but by the next day there were lady bugs and they continued to show up as the day went on. By the last night and there were over 20 ladybugs. I understand lady bugs aren’t the worse bug to have an issue with but still when you pay to stay somewhere you expect it to be bug free. Room were cleaned and decent for the price. However, the front desk staffs were the worst we have ever experienced being the world travelers for 34 years. Two women at front desk were extremely rude, unprofessional in many levels. We couldn't help but think how could Hampton Inn trained their employees to work in the industry of "Hospitality"? Very disappointed.

Positive: "" Negative: had a 3pm check in for regional gymnastics competition- we were not able to check in until 6pm. We missed a huge opportunity and mandatory training session for my child who spent years training. I asked for a manger to callme & they never did
