1 Star – Treated Like Criminals While Stranded I’m a Hilton Gold member and stay with Hilton often. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. My girlfriend and I flew into Phoenix in the early morning hours on my birthday and discovered we had been scammed out of $600 through a fraudulent reservation number we found online. We arrived at Hampton Inn Phoenix Airport North (601 N 44th St) hoping for help. They had no rooms available — which I understand. What I don’t understand is the complete lack of empathy or assistance. The front desk offered zero help finding another hotel, no help with transportation, and barely responded when we asked basic questions like using the restroom. While we were outside trying to get an Uber or Lyft (which were unavailable at that hour), the s

Positive: Location near the airport and shuttle available when needed.Staff at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful, accommodated our needs.Very nice breakfast was enjoyed! Negative: The room blind didn’t operate properly, didn’t come all the way down to cover the bottom of the window, or else hung crooked when up. Needs help.

While this place definitely has some wear on it, which can be seen in the rooms with gaps in caulking and doors that have trouble closing, it is a very functional hotel. So while it isn't the prettiest, it is a great place to get people in beds and on planes. There was a great room set up that was a king bed in a separate bedroom and two queens in the main room. It fit the six of us very well saving us from two rooms or two people on a pull out couch not meant for two people. It was a big bathroom, but it was a good thing we didn't all have early flights to need the one bathroom at the same time. Breakfast was good for me in being portable as I had to get out the door first. The others got to sit and relax. The free Lyft in lieu of an airport shuttle seemed odd at first but worked o

Great place to stay if you’re going to a game or concert downtown! The railway station, which is within walking distance of the hotel and other hotels in the area, rides straight to the heart of downtown! And if there’s any type of event that you are attending downtown, you get to ride the railway for FREE! Another great thing about this hotel, that it’s less than a 10 minute drive to and from the airport! The staff is very professional and courteous. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. Rates are a little high, but then again what isn’t nowadays! That’s the only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star rating. Other than that, we will be back!

The desk agent at check-in (about 9:30 pm) was excellent and the room was large and well-equipped. I appreciated the step-in shower. But it's a tired property. Carpet in the room was worn and stained, likewise the couch and easy chair. Paint was chipped on trim. The A/C units in both rooms of the suite were noisy and there was noise from the road outside. Breakfast was O.K. except for the lack of any fruit except wrapped whole apples. Coffee was terrible. First cup I got at breakfast was lukewarm. A server brought out a fresh pot and I was hopeful, but despite being hot, the taste of the coffee was like it was several days old. And the in-room coffee maker made pretty awful, weak stuff as well. I got stranded in Phoenix by Air Traffic Control and this was a place to lay my head for the nig
