Extended Stay America Select Suites- Phoenix - Deer Valley

The front desk staff was courteous, my reservation was in order, and the check in process was quick and efficient. I especially liked the ability at this property to be able to cancel at a very late time frame without being charged. The property was in a good area, very close to two major freeways for easy access to where I needed to travel during my stay. Food and gas stations were conveniently close by. The property looked nice, the room was clean, and I had no serious issues. A malfunctioning lamp was immediately replaced when I notified the front desk. Would stay here again without hesitation. Good value for price.

DO NOT consider this hotel. It has the appearance of a halfway house or transitional housing. Walked in and walked out. The rooms are barren and look like a really bad dorm room. They take pictures of every guests ID and lock down is at 10pm. Could not get out fast enough. Please understand, I do not give negative reviews unless I truly mean it!!!

Positive: Staff they were amazing Negative: There were roaches here. It?s best for you to bring your own pots and pans or you will be paying a fee to use theirs. You would have to get it from the front desk.

I have stayed here several times and for the most part I have been very satisfied. However this past stay not so much. The room that I was put in did not have a chair for the desk, no lamp on desk so it wasn't useable for doing any work. There was no small table that is normally there, the light on the side of the bed only had one bulb working. I told the front desk and was told that there is no maintenance on the weekend so it would be taken care of on Monday. I checked out on1-29 none of the work or chair was done. I did relay this to the woman at the desk when i was checking out. For some reason I feel that issues were ignored I can't imagine that there is no maintenance staff on weekends what if there was a major problem. Don’t stay here unless you want your money stolen from you. I have been a loyal customer to them for going on 4-5 weeks while I work in Pheonix. When I inquired about extending my stay, something you think a place called Extended stay would specialize in, they told me they would check the rates. My checkout was for Friday. When I didn’t hear back about the “special weekly rate rather than daily rate” they were going to try to offer me since I have been a loyal long term customer, I checked out on Friday. Mind you they have cameras in their lobby that watched me pack up all of my items and leave. Then I got charged an extra $512.17 for the stay to be extended. I immediately called them to inform them I never approved an extended stay and that I checked out on Friday as I was originally sche
