DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Sacramento

The AC is basically a fan. If you want a cool room,it's not going to happen. Luckily it was 65 degrees outside and I was able to occasionally open the sliding door to cool the room. But I couldn't leave the door open at night or when I left the room. I can't imagine staying here in the summer. It would have been miserable. The water pressure is terrible. Don't expect much when taking a shower. I think this is just an old hotel. They need to do some updates.

The hotel is large and spread out across a vast area. It is situated in the heart of Sacramento, making it easily accessible to visit downtown and other areas. Many good restaurants are nearby. The building is old, probably built in the 80s, but the rooms are remodeled, clean, and spacious. The price for a Sunday stay in June was very affordable, which is why we chose this hotel. The only complaint is the confusing shower. The blue dot indicated hot water, and the red dot indicated cold water. No instruction or warning sign, so my daughter had to take a cold shower. We thought the hot water was out, so called a maintenance guy, who came right away and was friendly, by the way. This was a more affordable option in a safe and convenient area, suitable for a family budget trip. A

The service at this hotel is unacceptable period. This is the second day in a row and it takes them 4 hours to send towels. We didn't ask for anything else only towels. My husband is thinks this isn't personal but I do. I filed a complaint and we still receive the same service. I would highly recommend not staying here if you are a minority. We don't receive services equally at all.There's no accountability here period. I would advise that if you have a complaint to reach out to the corporate office to file a complaint or have the bbb expedite a complaint. We can't count on them for anything now because we now fear they will potentially try to give us dirty linens or towels. We have kept a record of everything.

I really enjoyed my stay at the DoubleTree. It was very nice for a three-star hotel. The Staff were super friendly and helpful. They even gave us the infamous DoubleTree cookie. The rooms were clean and big enough for two people. The bar was staffed by friendly bartenders who made us feel welcomed. The hot tub was a little sketchy for my husband, but the grounds are beautiful. There's a lovely running river next to the restaurant that we took pictures at. It's really close to Arden Fair Mall, and I was able to pick up some stuff I needed. All in all, we enjoyed our experience.

Stayed 3 nights with my wife and daughter. First 2 nights were fine but the last night, Dec. 27, 2025, was horrible. Got back to the hotel around 9-9:30pm and obviously there was some event happening as the parking lot, which was almost empty the first 2 nights, was full and lots of people milling around. Front desk told us it was a 'private event'. While walking to our room on the third floor, the strong and unmistakable smell of pot greeted us - this from a hotel which states that it is a "100% smoke-free hotel," and guests who violate ths rule are subject to a $350 fine. Clearly this "rule" is not enforced. Outside, the noise level was high - cars/motorcycles revving loudly and burning rubber.
