Days Inn by Wyndham Liverpool/Syracuse

I have never in my life experienced such a dirty and unsafe stay at any hotel or motel. The room was absolutely filthy — the sheets were stained, there were bugs everywhere, and the smell was terrible. The door didn’t even lock properly, which made me feel completely unsafe the entire time. This location should be inspected by the health department immediately. It’s unacceptable for any guest to have to stay in such unsanitary and unsafe conditions. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone until it’s cleaned, repaired, and properly managed. I gave 1 star because I had to.

My 3-day stay definitely ranks as the worst hotel stay in many many years of traveling across the USA. Hotel was dirty, including both public spaces, outdoor spaces and most critcal - the guest rooms. Carpet and floors not clean, desk and furniture dusty and stained. Housekeeping service did not exist for all 3 days - was informed by 1 employee that they are "under-staffed" - which does not excuse over-charging for a room and no sevices due to Family Weekend at nearby Syracuse University. Was forced to visit the front desk late at night twice to ask for fresh towels, and then stay awake to wait for delivery. Used towels just sat in corner of room along with trash that was not emptied. Omg! Forgot to read the reviews. And BEWARE they required a $100 deposit not mentioned in the listing (wonder why) even if you prepaid for the room which we did and 7-10 business days to get it back. (What a racket). Previous reviews are all totally accurate. People gathered outside their rooms smoking a variety of things and playing loud music etc. Found the remote control under the sheets and found black specks on the sheets of the first room. Office guy dressed in baggy sweatpants and flip flops gave us another room but the sheets were also dirty and had a huge stain on them. Tried to give us another room across from the music- we said no of course. 3rd room the sheets were at least clean we hoped. Think the sheets were from the 90s. Positive: The water pressure Negative: The bedding had burn holes in it, the advertisement showed a jacuzzi tub that didn’t exist, the free breakfast didn’t exist and the room wasn’t cleaned during our stay with fresh towels replaced

There were marks and scuffs all over the walls . The door had dents all over it , and the dead bolt was clearly broken due to someone pushing it in. While the sheets on the bed were clean , the beds were not made and housekeeping staff did not come to room in our two night stay that we could see . The bathroom was gross with mold on faucets and dirt and stains on walls . There was garbage and discarded parts from car ( actual seat from car) sitting outside of other units . Overall this was not worth the almost 300 paid for two nights .
