Crowne Plaza Dulles Airport by IHG

From the time we checked in to when we checked out our experience was very good.|Roxana at check in was very professional and helpful answering my questions about parking our car and the shuttle. We reserved the park, sleep and fly the hotel offers, staying at the hotel the night before our flight and the night we return. |A very sweet housekeeper greeted us in the hall and took the luggage cart back to the lobby.|Our room was very nice. The king size bed was so comfortable.|Hamza greeted us as we checked out .|Hamza was also very kind, helpful and professional. We liked our stay so much Hamza helped me book a room for a future date.|It is convenient to have Houlihans right on site. Jo Jo , our bartender/server was very attentive and personable. After our flight got cancelled and our AirBnB couldn’t accommodate an extension, we booked the Crowne Plaza through the “Day Use” website as a home base for 12 hours before our rescheduled flight. We were very pleasantly surprised. I expected much less of an airport hotel. What I got was a lovely, modern, clean hotel with very comfy beds and great service. My husband commented that the bed was comfier than the one in the apartment we had rented for the week. Other than us, the clientele seemed to be entirely flight crews and soldiers. There were some good restaurants nearby (including a South Indian restaurant that had an impressive dosa menu). The free airport shuttle, which runs every 30 minutes was extremely helpful. I’d definitely stay here again if I needed a place near the airport.

The hotel is nice. It is a great hotel if you need to stay somewhere before the night of a long flight. The room was spacious and clean. The Front Desk was helpful. I loved that they had a shuttle to the airport which starts at 6AM if I recall correctly. I liked staying and would stay again. ||The only thing that was confusing was the lounge access. You had to take 1 elevator and walk down the hall to get to the other elevator that brought you to the lounge. Also, it would be nice if the lounge had a better selection of snacks. ||Overall, it was a good stay.

My stay here was unexpected as I missed a flight out of Dulles. I was exhausted and hungry and frustrated. My first contact with this hotel was the shuttle driver who greeted me warmly and loaded my bag into the van and opened the door with a smile. The van was clean and smelled nice. The front desk staff were equally welcoming. They offered dining recommendations and ensured I had everything I needed for the night, including scheduling my departing shuttle to the airport at 3:30 the next morning. I had a lovely meal and cocktail at the bar in the hotel restaurant. It was nice not to have to leave the property once I arrived. The room was clean, comfortable and visually appealing. Rooms: Spacious and clean. Two king-size beds, A/C, coffee machine with complimentary capsules, TV. WiFi available. Bathroom: clean, but nothing special. Service: The staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast: pretty OK. Bread and toast available, butter, jam, eggs, fruits, yogurt... Location: near the Dulles airport.
