Courtyard by Marriott Lake Placid

We stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate New Year's Eve. When we checked in we never received a warm greeting. On my Bonvoy profile I have higher floors request but it wasn't available to us. We were on the second floor in the back. The room was worn looking, bed was too soft and uncomfortable, loud hvac system and super thin toilet tissue worst then Scott tissue.|Some of the breakfast choices were always sold out which was disappointing. I understand there were some bobsled teams staying there so very understaffed for daily tasks like housekeeping. We had to call a few times to let them know our room wasn't cleaned yet. Kids were playing hockey in the hallways and kept hitting our door at night. The hot tubs were not working and looks like it's been in disrepair for months. I express

Cannot recommend this property: -Arrived 45 minutes after posted check in time. Rooms were not ready. Front desk could not reach housekeeping staff to find out if rooms were ready. I was asked to come back later. We were checked in approximately 60 minutes after our initial arrival. -Woke up early to multiple leaks from the ceiling in our room and our kids' adjoining room. Steady stream of water coming from 2 light fixtures and sagging in the ceiling over the shower. Called front desk and was told night staff was changing shift and they would get back to me. Called back 45 minutes later and day shift was totally unaware of the issue. Requested we be moved to different adjoining rooms. Was told nothing could be done until the GM arrived 60-90 minutes later. Requested immediate refund of nig

It was my first time staying in Lake Placid however I am a Marriott Bonvoy member for many years. This location was kinda disappointing. The exterior of the hotel was starting to peel, and you can clearly see it hasn't been maintained exterior wise on the side of the building. While they listened to what floor I'd prefer, the room was OK. I've stayed at different locations under the same name and it was much more updated. I also noticed that in my suite that it looked like an exposed gas line with some jerry rigged electrical work.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary in Lake Placid with our 2 young kiddos. We had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard Marriot! The room was clean and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the pool and the location was great as it wasn't too far from main street and was close to lots of great restaurants, Olympic attractions, and hikes. The shuttle to town was a huge bonus as we never had to pay for parking! Loved our stay and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We have stayed at this Marriott many, many times. Each time we have had a good experience. The staff are very accommodating. Any issues have been dealt with quickly and to our satisfaction. Keep up the good work. We'll be back
