Comfort Inn Waynesboro

Staff was great. Lady who ran the breakfast and maintained the area went above every day. Super nice. My room 107, needs a new bed. I have slept on construction trailers that were more comfortable. The entire place was clean, no signs of damage or unsanitary conditions anywhere. Location was excellent for my needs and all restaurant were within walking distance if needed. My travel co worker stated his bed was terrible as well. But we still enjoyed the stay.

The hotel was so peaceful, so friendly and very clean. The person that checked us in was extremely personable and helpful. Ever staff member we encountered was so sweet and helpful. Room cleanliness was impeccable as well as the bedding. It was like sleeping on a cloud. Morning came following a deep peaceful night of sleep and we headed to breakfast. Lots of options, very well maintained and comfortable. Shout out to the associate that put it all together, she is priceless. Not only did she keep eye on everything going on in her dining area, she also was taking in provisions load. She was super friendly and so very kind. Stayed Feb 5 for one night after skiing. When we arrived to our room on second floor, turned on the TV, no reception. The nice lady at the front desk found us another room on same hall with working TV. The room was nicely remodeled however there was no closet or trash cans. Looks like the old closet space was turned into a few shelves. There was a couple of coat hooks instead. Also woke up in the middle of the night freezing, the heater was set to 75 but blowing cold air. The first floor was under renovation and noisy. Look elsewhere until they get their work finished.

The service was okay but the lady had put us on the first floor when we ordered the top floor. Everything else was atrocious. The hallways on the first floor had maybe 10 ceiling tiles and smelled like something was burning. The hotel room smelled of and had visible mold and staining on the walls, carpet, and cloth furniture. The bathroom door wouldn’t shut and was chipped, the privacy deadbolt didn’t work, one of the outlets was shot, the stopper in the bathtub was broken, and more. I truly would never recommend this. There are multiple hotels in the area and a few on the same street that I’ve stayed in before. Please do not make my mistake and try for a cheaper change. You pay the least and get the worst here. This Comfort Inn is convenient to the interstate, restaurants and shopping. Within 5 miles of Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway. The property is clean and staff pleasant. Our bed was comfortable and room space adequate. There were some maintenance and housekeeping items I mentioned upon check out but they did not affect our overall stay. Breakfast was good and hot.
