Comfort Inn & Suites Texas City I-45

Room was a remodeled on and right in line with the normal Comfort standard. Clean and beds comfortable and the new bathroom was one of the best Ive seen at a Comfort. Staff were all great and as accommodating as possible. It noted but when they say they are remodeling there is construction debris everywhere and the hall carpet is caked Im sure they are planning to replace it and the price we paid was good but I wouldnt pay more even if they entire place was remodeled. They also need to work on the breakfast. It wasnt all the usual items and they closed it early on a Sunday and I noted it to the friendly front desk man and it said it was a mistake.

Positive: Front desk staff at check-in was very friendly Negative: Mildew and hair all over shower curtain, roaches in bathroom, pitiful breakfast, pool closed, hotel under construction and put us in room next door to where they were working

Came here for 1 night before we leave on our cruise. And everything is horrible. The A/C doesn't work and the room is humid. Also the filter is disgusting. The door latch is loose and I do not feel safe. Its currently under construction but right now not too clean. Coffee but no coffee pot. And rust on the lamp.

We arrived to the Hotel. And having reservation for a King size bed and payed for it. The lady mentioned that they didn't have a room with 1 king size bed. Downgraded us a 2 double Queens size bed. She that their wasn't nothing she could do. I ask a price adjustment. She being that we reserved through a 3party Expedia. I was not happy, being tired from driving we took the room because my Credit Card was already charged for the room .

For a Comfort Inn this place is anything but that, when you first walk in there is an moldy smell that fills the lobby. Staff was friendly but failed to mention any construction happening, the elevator is straight out of the 70's very small and dated and somewhat scary, not to mention dirty. Now the room, where to start? First it smelled like freshy painted walls with mold trapped under it . The lamps have visible rust on the base of them, absolutely no alarm clock, had coffee supplies in the room with no coffee pot, no microwave. Now the bathroom did look like they had done somewhat of a renovation to it , but the lighting and all around ascetics of it was poorly designed.
