Super 8 by Wyndham Texas City

Stopped here on our way to Galveston. We had an exceptional stay. The property was newly renovated. Room had all the modern amenities and everything worked. Hot breakfast was a nice touch. Staff was friendly and helpful with information about restaurants. Clean and large room with a full size fridge and microwave.

During a severe snow storm I had to be in Texas City for business. I booked online knowing nothing about this motel or hotel. The room is quite clean, comfortable and enjoyable. I recommended this 2 king size room for a family of 4.

Stopped here the night before our cruise. It is an old hotel that has been remodeled. However, it's the lipstick on a pig version of a remodel. Slapped paint on walls that are in rough shape, trim that's barley holding on, smells a bit musty. The bed seemed clean and we saw no bugs so we stayed. I highly suspect that the current 5 star reviews have a stake in this place. Breakfast was bare bones, but it's hard to mess up the waffles. Usually had to wait on someone at the desk. Location was handy. I'm rating 3, but that's probably generous

Clean and comfortable. Recommend earplugs if highway noise is an issue for you. Denny's is in the same parking lot.

As others mentioned, the rooms are remodeled, but fine, the care in the hotel is evident. Check-in was smooth. Its next to a highway which can be annoying. The environment felt safe. Budget friendly.
