La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Texas City I 45

It's a NEW hotel!!! We walked in and lobby and it smelled like raw sewage. Front desk said the smell comes and goes but the rooms they give out don't smell. Our door lock didn't work so they gave us a new room. The room smelled a little musty but we stayed anyway. At 4 am the fire alarm started sounding but was cut off after a few minutes. Breakfast was BAD!!! Eggs were bad, biscuits were inedible. Sausage was OK. I didn't try the self serve waffles. Coffee was good. Anyway I would not stay there again.

Only one bug!!! 0 out of 100. Where to start... -Lobby smelled like sewage. It was disgusting. -Gal at check in was blank and rude and didn't want to see the picture of the bug! Lol. Seriously though -4 am wake up call to a fire alarm -Oh yeah, a bug in the bed but not bed bugs. -10:30 am housekeeping MALE staff enters room and sees my partner naked. He announced himself AFTER he entered the room -Housekeeping dents even having a male staff even though I can see him entering rooms. -They then claim language barrier. Do NOT stay here..

Checked out today Sept 29th.||The smell from the Hotel was h horrible. It smelled like dog pee.|I felt dirty the entire time there. The carpet was dirty and moist. I asked a housekeeper what the smell was in the hotel and she opened a closet in a room she was cleaning and showed me mold all on the walls. She said she told someone but they did not do anything about it. She said she was worried about the customer who had to sleep in the room. She also said she thinks the hotel might have bad plumbing causing mold throughout building. ||When I complained about smell the front desk clerk asked me why was I just now complaining. Then after our conversation went on she told me, "to be honest several people have complained to her." ||I don't normally write reviews but wanted to spare someone the

I booked through Expedia for a 2 day trip. I was charged more than i was supposed to be charged with no explanation and they refuse to give me a refund on what i was overcharged. To get to the hotel you either have to drive through a neighborhood or construction. It is not very easy to navigate unless you are from there. When you walk in the staff is very unfriendly ad you can smell the mix of the unclean indoor pool mixed with mold and mildew. I reserved the deluxe king suite after looking at the pictures on the site. The room i got did not match the pictures. We were on the second floor and had to dodge all the soft spots in the floor that we almost fell multiple times because there are so many of them. Plus you had to press the elevator button like six times just to get one of the two

Good hot shower. Ok hot breakfast. You need to bring your used towels down to the front desk if you need fresh ones as they will not give you new ones otherwise. This location has or had a foul odor throughout the hotel but was worse on other floors than ours. Our room was fairly clean but some of the surfaces like the desk are had some unknown smears on the sides that the cleaners missed. For an overnight stay before a cruise it was good enough and by staying there we saved 50 bucks. We'd stay there again for one night but with the knowledge that this hotel does not have a sofa. It is a bare bones room. It has a very tiny fridge. It does have a small microwave just outside the bathroom door. The bathroom only had one hook on the door to hang things. There were no towel racks.
