Do not stay here. Elevator out of order, we were on the 2nd floor. Thankfully we one had one piece of luggage a piece!!! Room smelled of mold, I sprayed with room spray, did not help. Beds are hard. Would have stayed somewhere else but hotels around in the area were booked to capacity due to the Galveston motorcycle rally. |Pictures on their website are not rooms at this hotel.

Although we were told before we decided to stay here that the elevator wasn’t working, we weren’t too concerned about walking up a couple of flights of stairs to get to our room on the 3rd floor. The surrounding area at this location felt like a ghost town in an unfortunate run down area. The room was fine, comfy bed, clean but not as clean as our standards. Dust covered the top of the microwave and I definitely Did NOT want to use the coffee kureg that morning. It’s not a hotel I’d recommend to a friend or family member but we were very grateful there was a room available after driving such a long while & being exhausted. I DID absolutely appreciate the hospitality and straightforward, upfront conversation with the lady at the front desk about the hotel and a few of the disadvantages it h

We checked in and got to the room with no issues. When we walked in our room it had a weird smell. Nothing I couldnt handle but still noticeable. The tub floor was disgusting and stained. After about an hour of chilling in the room the TV broke. So they moved us to another room on the second floor. Butttttt the elevator was broke. Yay! The second room was much better but the fridge had stopped working and smelled horrid if you opened the door. So we just didn't use the fridge. The bed was the normal. Oh it does not have a hot tub. It is filled in with concrete. The buffet next door was great though so that is a plus.

The staff is super accommodating and friendly. I loved the Texas shaped waffles. I was all around very pleased with this hotel. The location is good. Close to businesses but still on the outskirt where it's quite. The rooms are clean, beds are ssoooo comfy and no cockroaches.

We were scheduled to board a week-long cruise the next morning. The elevators were inoperable and they had us on the second floor. We had to lug heavy suitcases up and down the stairs. Booked 3 rooms. All 3 rooms smelled horrible. They had plug in air fresheners to try and "overcome" the bad smells. Holes in the wall possible from previous headboards or other furniture. Hotel was poorly maintained. Do not recommend and we will stay somewhere else next time.
