Carriage House Motor Inn

Stayed there for the solar eclipse event. One of the most notable things was that they did not price gouge like so many other places that weekend... They charged their regular rate, which was appreciated. It's not a luxury hotel by any means, but it was clean, the staff was friendly and had more than a fair price. If you're in the area and just looking for a clean place to simply to eat, spend a night and rest your head, don't overlook this location if rooms become scarce. I had no regrets.

I am extremely disappointed in our stay at this motel. The rooms are dark and need a definite update. The mattresses are the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on. The pool looks nice in the pictures but it was not nice in person. The water was cloudy and there were a lot of unsupervised kids in there. I am leaving my 2 nights here very exhausted from barely getting any sleep because of the beds being so uncomfortable. You also have to walk across the road to use the pool. This motel needs to do better.

it's a two-star hotel, so you should have reasonable expectations. I came here to hike this time. I only needed a bed and a bit of peace, and that's what I got. The room was clean and no one disturbed me. It's close to the center of LP. So the location is great - you can drink good coffee, beer and something to eat 0.5 miles away. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, continental breakfast is servedBreakfast is not my style, so I won't judge. The reception is open 24 hours a day.I paid 335 dollars for 3 nights, I have positive feelings

I booked a July 16, 2025 stay at CHMI on Dec 22, 2024 through "hotels.com". The confirmation said "free cancellation" before July 14, 2025. I had to cancel July 7, 2025 and got confirmation from Hotels.com that it was done and would not get charged. However, "Rodeway Inns" (the owner of CHMI I think) charged my credit card without my knowledge. I contacted "hotels.com" and they said CHMI would not refund me. I tried to contact CHMI but the phone number doesn't work. Be careful if you decide to book with CHMI.

Quick weekend getaway. If you want the Marriott, this isn't it. Basic roadside motor lodge. Looks a little sketchy at first (a fresh coat of paint and some attention to the landscaping would do wonders for the place!). Rooms are clean and comfortable. As others have said, registration, breakfast, and the indoor pool & hot tub are across the street at the Rodeway Inn (both properties are owned by the same people). A minor inconvenience to walk across a 2 lane country road to enjoy the amenities. Good value for the price. We would definitely stay here again!
