Cambria Bloomington Mall of America Minneapolis Airport

First time staying here and for the most part enjoyed my stay. The location has easy access to the Mall of America and the airport as well as the metro. The hotel has a modern feel to it. Nothing too luxury but clean and streamlined. I stayed in room 538 which was a suite. It was large with space to work. The bed was comfy with decent sheets. The bathroom is clean and well designed save for the shower which I personally dont like the open design where there isnt a door. Speaking of things Im not a fan of, I dont like the lack of drawers for clothes. The closet is decent size but no drawers was kinda annoying. Unless I just missed something. Another negative note would be that the proximity to the airport is a good thing except it can get noisy if they fly over. I will say that the break

We stayed at this hotel after our flights were changed and we had to spend a night in MSP before going home. |We grabbed the shuttle from the airport. Front desk staff was great at check in. There is a great little bar/restaurant there and we had a bite to eat and enjoyed the meal and the service was super. |The hotel is quite new and everything is clean and looks great. |The bed was extremely comfortable and there were black out blinds on the windows-super dark room and so quiet! |The shower had great water pressure and the towels were soft, fluffy and plenty of them. Positive: We chose this hotel for its location, price and the fact that it had two queen size beds plus a sofa bed. I was very happy with the room layout for my family of four. Negative: On the second morning there wasn't coffee available in the lobby and no cleaning was offered after our first night. I would have liked trash to be taken out and another roll of toilet paper left, at least. There is no door hanger to ask for cleaning.

The hotel is situated at a 4 min, drive from the Mall en opposite the metro station that brings you in 45 min. to the center of Minneapolis.|The rooms are good and clean, as is the bathroom. Housekeeping cleans after the third night, but fresh supplies are always available. The breakfast buffet is good with a lot of choices. The bar offers light evening meals that are of a good quality. Service at the bar and the buffet is good and very friendly. |The hotel is also at a 10 min. drive from the airport. This does mean that there is some noise from departing airplanes, especially during week days.

I am writing this review as someone who stayed here for MEPS so if you are here for some other reason ignore this. The rooms were great and so was the service. However the shuttle to pick us up from MEPS was scheduled for I think sometime like 6. We didn’t leave until an hour and a half later because the front desk didn’t contact the hotel that they needed a shuttle. Normally I would think this is MEPS fault but the hotel has an agreement with them to show up at certain times without a call. If you are going to MEPS don’t get too excited about the food. Dinner was dry. It was okay, enough to fill you up so whatever. The thing I was most looking forward to was a nice hotel breakfast. Nope. Don’t get excited for that either.
