Budget Inn

Stayed at this hotel while in az for my daughter’s tournament. When we arrived a nice lady checked us in. She was really nice. When we got in the room we noticed it smelled horrible. After a 20 hour drive we just went to sleep. Once we got up and started to settle we noticed the refrigerator had bugs, brown stains and hair in it. The sheets had pee stains in them. The towels had what looked like dried poop stains, The bathroom was nasty. I went to the front desk and stated I really didn’t want to complain but… (and began to list my concerns) the guy was very nice. I mean really really nice, and put us in another room. The maintenance guy was extremely nice as well. Once we entered that room it wasn’t much better but again I didn’t want to complain. I went and purchased towels, pillowcases

the sheets needed to be change from the start, they were stained with what looked like pee and blood, The front desk lady (manger) was very nice about changing the sheets. She was very helpful. The room was very trashed. People have carved names in the wood furniture. The carpet is NASTY!! The walls are discussing. Sadly we were in a major rush to get to a family function so we didn’t see much of the nasty until the next morning. And all of the other hotels we have stayed before in Phoenix were booked. So more or less this was the left overs! Very disappointed is how ran down the hotel was. Everything was broken. Woodwork in the bathroom damaged. Toilet not fastened down, it felt like it was going to tip over. The shower rod was falling down. The water spigot had a gaping hole behind it.

Most uncomfortable bed I’ve had in a long time, pillows were worse. Shower has dirt in it and has been dripping all night(wasting lots of water in phx as of all places), toilet is not secure to the ground and moves, door to hallway has a large gap all the way around it, so you can hear everyone walking and the hall light lit up our room all night. Everything is very “rough” missing paint and scuff marks. Ac/heater is loud and works but not very efficiently. The shower had dirt and other peoples hair in it, and it wouldn’t drain properly. House Keepers were yelling in the hall all morning. Check in wasn’t super smooth, but not horrible. Confirm someone’s last name before trying to convince them they are at the wrong hotel. Infested with roaches! We stayed there last night 12/28/25 after driving 9 hours and did not sleep one bit because of all the cockroaches. The toilet was clogged and we couldn't use it either. We left at 6am, there was no one in the lobby so couldn't speak to anyone. They took a $100 security deposit. Based on the condition of the room, I should get the deposit and at least a partial refund of the room. I do not recommend!

NOT PET FRIENDLY AND NOT HUMAN FRIENDLY. Absolutely hellacious room, furthermore, the morning front desk woman was extremely disrespectful and violated our service animal disability rights and did not provide towels before checkout. There is no sign saying anything about a pet fee outside. It is illegal to ask for documentation or paperwork for proof of a service animal. According to the guidelines for the national service animal registry, you were only allowed to ask if this is a service animal and what sort of service the animal provides and that is all. They were demanding $25 which is illegal. So shame on y'all trying to scam people
