Best Western Plus Holiday Sands Inn & Suites

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times since end-2024, in total for about five weeks. Overall, it’s a decent place, especially for business trips or extended stays. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need, and some even come with a small kitchen. Kitchen utensils can be borrowed for free at the front desk, although availability can be limited when many guests need them. The location is excellent — being right by the beach with a view of the water is definitely a highlight. Cleanliness is an area that could be improved. Housekeeping is not done daily, and on some occasions it didn’t happen even after requesting it. The staff does respond when you point things out, but the consistency just isn’t always there. This is a very nice, well located property. The views of the Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean were stunning, especially in the morning sun. The hotel is slightly dated, but undergoing some renovations. Our room (232) was clean, comfortable, and relatively quiet considering it’s location on a main thoroughfare. We enjoyed the help of a very friendly and staff from check-inout to housekeeping to dining. I would stay here again.

Roach in my room so I called and they moved me. In the room they moved me into there was another roach under my shoe the next morning. When checking out I was not offered any refund, be it full or partial. Was told I need to speak to the manager if I wanted my money back. Otherwise, the woman who helped me get into a different room was very kind and helpful. I asked what they plan to do about the infestation and they did not reply. A few years ago this motel was good for the price, but now it is disgusting unfortunately.

Positive: Free breakfast , clean pool, nice private balcony with amazing view.... very helpful pleasant patient staff Negative: At the access to the beach the opening in the fence could have been wider for easier access through it with coolers ave lawn chairs etc. And the large tree at beach entrance cud be cut back or down.... could possibly hide a undesirable..otherwise great

All the staff were nice and friendly. The location is a plus, very convenient. I love how the beach is literally steps away from the hotel, very private and very accessible. Breakfast is pretty good, they change it up a bit every morning, which is great! It’s been one of the best beach hotels that I have ever stayed. My overall experience was wonderful. Will definitely be coming back.
