Best Western Bloomington Edina - Minneapolis

The reason I only gave three stars instead of 5 is because…. We stayed here before when my son was airlifted to HCMH. We were very impressed with how clean the rooms were that my family stayed in. And thought for sure we would stay again. This last stay we booked for three days. Unfortunately, this stay wasn’t as good! The pool and hot tub were closed for repairs (one reason I wanted to stay here because I am disabled and the water really helps my condition especially the hot tub) the heater in our room was very loud and we couldn’t control the temp. We called the front desk to ask if there was a way that we could be switched to a different room. The front desk would pick up the phone and put us immediately on hold. As I patiently waited on hold for about 5-7 minutes. I got hung up on. So

Positive: "" Negative: The front glass electrical doors wouldn’t close temperatures were below 10 degrees and the doors remained open constantly. Staff were wearing winter coats behind the front desk to keep warm. Breakfast room was freezing!

Avoid this hotel, it might be 100$ less expensive than others but its the worst Best Western we ever stayed in. stayed for 5 night, the rooms wasn't cleaned even once, the towels/shampoo/soap were not replaced so we went and bought some from the closest target. There is actually zero supervision of who is entering the premises. we witnessed multiple random people entering the hotel, getting a coffee and leaving, not to mention people are sitting in their cars outside smoking weed. the smell of weed everywhere on the first, second floor and elevator. Breakfast: there is literally a sign saying that the breakfast is complementary and the guest should watch how much food they put on their plate. this means if you get up around 7am you will have a full breakfast but if you are in around 9... w

I stayed here for the weekend and coming in the first thing I smelt was marijuana. Then I was issued keys that didn't open my room number. And I went outside to have a cigarette respecting that you can't smoke at this location and was locked out I had to walk all the way around to the front to get new keys cuz they were deactivated when I rented a room for more than one day. Also the USB in the room didn't work. The only thing good I have to say about this location is there breakfast is good.. also the young man that was at the counter was very nice. The restaurant next door is only open if they have somebody to work. It snowed when we were there and the sidewalks were not shoveled.

Rooms were very clean except for whatever kind of bug I smashed on the sheet. Drawer under TV wouldn’t stay shut. Cleaning staff had to have noticed that and called maintenance. Missing molding/paint by elevator. They need a much better maintenance crew. They get an F for snow cleaning and salting. Outside doors was a skating rink!! Can’t afford and sand/salt. That would be a law suit waiting to happen
