American Inn & Suites Romulus DTW

The very think blanket on the bed had caramel corn on it. The thin bedsheet had cigarettes burns in it. (There was no tobacco smell.) The remote on the TV didn't work. I had just come in from 12 hours of flying with a broken leg. I didn't feel like fighting for better service. When I checked in we saw someone sitting in the front room, presumably the person in charge. We walked in and had to wait over five minutes to get my room. Not sure what that was about. No bell to ring. "Hello" didn't work. I needed help getting luggage to my care when leaving Saturday morning, quite early. The person at the desk helped but was obviously not happy about it. Disgusted, no other way to put it.We checked in and it took 3 different rooms until we found one that didn't have something busted in it. The beds were uncomfortable and had 2 pillows on it that if you put them together wouldn't even be the size of 1 norm pillow. We went to the restaurant in the lobby because of the recommendation of the front desk and it was terrible. The people in the room next to us were partying all night and when I called to complain about it ,the guy at the front desk told me to call the police because they refuse to get involved. We had to catch a plane at 6am ,and so we never got a minutes sleep. I will never stay there again

Where do I even start with this place! BEWARE AND DO NOT STAY HERE. Me and my partner booked a jacuzzi suite. Mind you I book hotels every weekend just for a getaway. We got to the hotel, it looked like for one people live there. The girl at the front desk was super rude and I had to wait almost 20 minutes just to get checked in. We get to our room, and it was so dirty. Dirt all over the floors, some of the furniture had stains on it and the tub was disgusting. Me and my partner kindly walked down to request to have the room cleaned. We get back up to the room, a few hours later we decided to get in the jacuzzi then realized there was NO HOT WATER. We called the front desk who said there was nothing they could do for us and it was because there pipes were frozen, NOT OUR PROBLEM. They ende

This was my birthday weekend. Front desk girl was very rude and smart alec. Nowhere to park and was rudely told that if we didn't like it we could get a refund. Stayed in a jacuzzi suite that hadn't been swept or mopped. 5 days later still waiting on deposit but was told we couldn't get it back because of damage that was done! Said we had a dog and stole the towels and left red dye on the pillow case. We HAD no dogs, we had to return wet towels the next day in order to get fresh ones. I've stayed here many times before and never had this problem. The room also had a very loud echo (302). We drive almost 4 hrs to this hotel because it use to be comfortable. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Arrived for check in for the night before flying out in the morning with my wife and two young children. The front of the building looked disheveled and main door was broken. Found the entry way which was covered in a thick layer of dirt, dust and grime. Front desk staff was laying on the couch in the lobby and greeted us with a gruff oh your checking in. Very short throughout the checkin process. Arrived in our room to find bugs in the corner on the floor, a moldy cup of milk in the fridge, the bathtub was peeling, dirt on the bathroom exhaust fan and what appears to be fecies on the bathroom wall. The room had no smoke alarm, (had been removed and wires were still hanging there. Door had no security latch, flooring was lifting up and my 4 year old caught their foot on it, and no evacuati
