Wyndham Garden Kansas City Airport

Location is great. Close to food, shopping, and activities that are great for the warmer months. The only thing that bumd us was no microwaves in the rooms. And we didn't know that they had a special system to where you could hookup your gaming system. We would have brought our PlayStation or Xbox.

The worst stay. We arrived late Thursday evening and by Sunday no room cleaning. We called down on Sunday after being out all day and they tried to tell us that the 3rd day would be Monday. Which is not true as Sunday was the 3rd day of our stay. Well, that wasn’t true either since no cleaning done Monday either. ||No sign on door at all for do not disturb at all during stay. Had to ask for towels since they didn’t clean room at all. Man at desk on Monday claimed that we had a do not disturb sign which is a flat out lie. Nice try- we will be making sure we tell everyone not to stay here. ||No toilet paper left l, bed not made up even once and a pile of dirty towels in the bathroom. We asked for an adjustment to our bill and all we were told is to make a complaint- well, here it is… ||Do n

Southwest delayed our flight - causing us to miss our connection. We were placed on a 6 AM flight the next day. The Wyndham was a last minute reservation - mostly due to its free airport shuttle and proximity to the airport. Hotel amenities are what you would expect for a mid-range airport hotel. While we confirmed - twice... a shuttle reservation to the airport at 4 AM... the next morning we were told the shuttle was full and we were scheduled for 4:30. Of course, this created a problem! The front desk clerk was not helpful nor supportive. We ended up having to call an Uber so we could get to the airport in time. We're not likely to stay at this Wyndham again as there are plenty of other hotels with free airport shuttles and this experience was unnecessary.

Positive: It was close to everything I needed while there and the shuttle drivers were very nice Negative: Yes, in the room the tv didn’t work, it was staticy like using an antenna, air conditioner was loud, lights in shower/sink area made a buzzing noise when on & by the sink there seemed like a blood stain on the floor.

I think this is gonna be a messy review. We pulled in about 4 o’clock on a Friday evening. A gentleman at the desk was very nice but when we confirmed about the shuttle he referred us to a sign on the front desk that indicated that shuttle service ended at 10am and didn’t start up again until four in the afternoon. We indicated that is not how their website is presented. It’s published as shuttle service to and from KCI and parking.They should honor that. It all stayed very civil, but ended up with them telling us that, Yes they would make special arrangements and come and pick us up on Monday during the hours where they normally don’t run their shuttle. The quote was “don’t call back on Monday there will be a shuttle waiting for you when you get off the plane.” Deplaned, got luggage, an
