TownePlace Suites by Marriott Kansas City at Briarcliff

This suite hotel is in a great location. I stayed for a week here and found that the hotel was well maintained, clean and had all the amenities that I was looking for. I had some very early starts so I was gone before the breakfast bar was open, but the night shift front desk manager David went above and beyond to provide me with a few breakfast provisions so I could utilize the in-room kitchen. It really made my stay more enjoyable and I appreciate the extra effort! On the last day of my stay, I was able to utilize the hotel breakfast, and found the breakfast was very well appointed, clean, and tasty. Brenda was very friendly and really wanted to ensure the hotel guests had a great breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel based on the pleasant and helpful staff that I met

Overcharged for pet—not pet friendly only pet greedy should have a deposit but the just take the money $100. Overcharged me because a sports team played that weekend. Did not clarify when I called the desk would not honor 3rd party rates. Very close to bait and switch. Microwave did not work to bad 😞 for me. Very overrated. Managers not listed on web site. The one I talked to said I don’t understand. They did not clarify charges up front. Not worth the $420 for one night. People on line complain of bed bug and plumbing issues. Beware before you book. I will not use Marriott again.

Positive: The rooms are spacious with a full kitchen. This is great when traveling with children to save from having to eat out every meal the breakfast (free)and the friendly staff made our stay excellent. Negative: No, it was fabulous!

We had an excellent stay at TownePlace Suites Briarcliff. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and perfect for families. Breakfast was nice with good options to start the day. The area felt very safe, quiet, and relaxing. Another big plus — all main attractions like the zoo, aquarium, and WWI museum were just a short drive away. Overall, a wonderful and convenient place to stay in Kansas City!

The rooms, if they give you the correct one you reserved (1st issue) are wonderful. Very spacious. BUT they started putting us in a studio even I reserved a suite. Then we finally get in a suite and the room reeked of fish or seafood. They tried to act like they had not noticed that but the windows were open in the room and nobody else's were when they checked in. They then charged me more than what I was quoted. I wouldn't have been upset if they had simply not acted like they were unaware and then had the nerve to charge me more.
